Ok. Thanks for the info. Does that do anything to the value? Does anyone know how to tell what year it was made in?

What will be my S&W 3913 replacement single stack 9

Russian Makarov. No problems. I believe a member on THR (M2 Carbine?) put one through a durability test (filled with mud, greased it and froze, etc.), put 1000 rnds thru it, and only had one problem due to so much mud that the firing pin didnt make contact with the primer ( If my memory serves...

Suggest a full-frame gun for me that's not a Glock or 1911 variant?

Ditto on the Beretta 92. You WILL NOT regret it.

    Reliable and Inexpensive .45

I've owned a Tanfoglio Witness .45 for a few years and did not have any problems. Not ammo picky, fired everytime I pulled the trigger. I got it with a compensator for $300. Also it was very accurate. Unfortunately I recently sold it to a friend for $400 and bought a Sig P2022 9mm(which I've...

    Russian Makarov

I have a Russian Makarov IJ-70. I was trying to find out when it was manufactured and I found that it does not have a US stamp on the frame. It has the Russian serial etching on the slide and the frame. Also it has the import company on the slide. But no US serial/stamp/engraving. Is that a...

    H&R Model 923

This is my first revolver. I have searched the internet to find a breakdown of it yet I have not been able to find one. Does anyone have a breakdown or know how to take this firearm apart? With the rest of my firearms I have been able to figure out how to take them apart but I am stumped with...

    Winchester 37

Thank you for the site. I just am not sure about the part. The model is a 37, I believe. It is the part which goes in the small hole on the forearm and it holds the forearm on the stock.

    Winchester 37

I was browsing some pawnshops the other day and came across a WInchester 37 for $90. The catch was that the stock was missing a piece. The piece missing was the latch that keeps the forearm and barrel connected to the reciever/stock. The guy behind the counter said all that is needed is these...

    A good deal?

They were in good condition. Mine, the Stevens, had minor surface rust on the barrel around the stock which I took off with a rag and a little bit of gun oil. THe one main drag is that they did not have the key that went to the masterlock that was on the Savage. After a while of the pawnshop...

Salesman said Sig's only shoot "sig ammo"

I just love those salesmen that treat me like I don't know anything because I am a kid. I have had people say stuff like that, like they know something, and I come back and correct them. They usually don't say much else to me. Some advice, don't listen to him. Find someone else if you need...

    A good deal?

Ok. Thanks for the help. I will give it a try tomarrow. Hopefully I don't mess anything up. I look back, and realize I have gone somewhere wrong when dissassembling each of my rifles :banghead: , luckily, I have not made the same mistake twice.

    A good deal?

Yes, it is harder to clean. Can the receiver even come off? Any background information?

    A good deal?

I picked up a Savage Mark II pre-accutrigger and a Stevens 62. Both in .22. The combined total was $120 + tax. Was this a good deal? Does anybody know much about these firearms?

    .17 HMR??

I've taken large woodchucks with a pump air rifle with flat head pellets. My family thought I couldn't kill anything with it, so they allowed me to shoot pest, birds, squirrels, anything small and in one afternoon I went out and killed two woodchucks, two blackbirds, one robbin, and one...

Would you buy this .22 rifle?

Jones, was it a slinder stock? If so, for that price I would say that the Mossberg that you have seen at walmart was a Mossberg Plinkster. I was going to get one a while back.

    small-hand shooter recommendations?

I also have two delimas, small fingers and small hands. I have found that for a .45 the Tanfoglio Witness is a good gun. It also is a double stack. I also have a RUssian Makarov that is perfect for me. It is small and slimmer, and is also a very good shooter.
