    sage ebr question

Just to clarify- I was hoping to go from the telescoping (pictured) to the fixed (pictured as well) without buying a whole new chassis system. Thanks.

    sage ebr question

Sorry if this has already been answered, I ran a search but couldn't find anything. I am tempted to buy a used lrb in a telescoping sage stock (M14ALCS). Problem is my business requires me to move around a lot, often to gun unfriendly states. Is it possible to simply switch out the rear...

    Beretta 1201FP

M4 is gas operated. ARGO system. m2 is inertia and similar to the beretta. I've owned both at one point. The inertia was very reliable esp. with full power buckshot. The m4 shoots noticeably softer though.

Thinking of getting a Benelli M2...

I used to have an m1 tactical. It really was a great gun, never jammed with stout loads. Real quick and I'm not 100% positive on this but I think the field and the tactical m2 have different recoil springs. I think the field's recoil spring is lighter (for birdshot and the like) than the...

    Glock Recomendations

I love the 9mm glocks. Reliable, quick trigger reset, and much more accurate than people think. My personal favorite is the 17.

Best .45 for California? Help a newbie out...

Hey everyone, I'm moving to Cali, and I'm looking to buy a nice .45 when I get there (or maybe I'll purchase before I leave, and ship there, either way). I was hoping you all could help me decide what to spend my hard earned on... I've been saving up for a while and money isn't too much of a...

Moving to Cali. How to get rid of my current collection? What 45 to get out there?

Once again thanks to everyone who responded to my question. I understand that some of you might be a little dissappointed that I'm considering giving up my collection to live in a state with unjust gun laws. That said, please understand that the position I have been offered is quite litterally...

Moving to Cali. How to get rid of my current collection? What 45 to get out there?

Thanks everyone for your helpful replys. I think I'm going to have to let them go... sad but storage costs a lot and I plan on being in Cali for a long, long, long time. As for why I'm headin' to the forbidden grounds... I work in advertising, and my dream agency just offered me a job out there...

Moving to Cali. How to get rid of my current collection? What 45 to get out there?

Hi all. Long time lurker, very occasional poster… Wondering if I could trouble you for some advice? Recently I got a job that I have to take in California. I’ve been collecting rifles and handguns for a little bit. While I hate to see them go, Cali being what is I’m probably going to have to...

Should be read by newbies and veterans alike

Sm those are some very good points. On another note, I was hoping you could help me with a little advice: What caliber should I arm my one legged uncle with in the event he has to shoot his cat, 9mm or 45? Also is it okay to steal this ammo from Walmart if zombies attack? Thanks. P.S...

    16" .308s: Feedback

"mentioned a 200 yd. range. If that's all you expect to reach out, it's well worth getting the shorter tube. Sure, you'll lose velocity and possibly a little accuracy depending on the round, but for 200 yards, there are worse things you could carry." It is my understanding that everything...

    16" .308s: Feedback

FWIW I have one of the SA58 carbines (16.25inches). I'm not going to make any claims to accuracy or velocity, because it's new and I haven't had a chance to take it out to the range yet. However, I can say that I really notice a difference in weight and handiness when compared to my friend's...

    7.62 NATO ammo questions

I've heard mixed reports about the Lake City. I think it might depend which batch you're getting. There certainly were some less than perfect batches. I like the SA, but the brass is real soft, and may bend with aggresive extractors. Also it smells funny. Has anyone tried the Maylasian...

Treading on thin ice: Anyone ever carry a DA/SA pistol with the hammer cocked?

I love these Glock SA/DA threads :D .... A little story: Two tribesmen stand on a cliff. A F-15 soars overhead. But neither man has ever seen a plane before. The first tribesman thinks it's a bird because it flies, and the only thing he has ever seen fly is a bird. The second tribesman...

    CA tactical carbine - Mini-14

Dave 3006, Your point about full vs semi auto design considerations was interesting. I'll admit I hadn't thought of that. However, I am still convinced a box magazine is vastly superior to an en-bloc clip. Two things. 1. I have shot a garand before, and found the "tactical reload" as...

    Not Again: .223 vs. 7.62 by 39

"What do the guys in green/brown(whatever color it is now?) use?" Actually looking at the post directly before yours I would say they use the AK. ;) That said, I'm an Ar kind of guy. Just personal preference IMHO. As for the round, there are really too many variables with each shot to say one...

    CA tactical carbine - Mini-14

"On a different note, the 20 round box magazine on the M1A is a liability to me. They are expensive, bulky, and slow to use. With enbloc clips, you can carry more ammo per pound and there are no issues on what to do with the empty mags. You can also get closer to the ground with the Garand. The...

    CA tactical carbine - Mini-14

I've always liked the Mini 14 not an Ar...but darn close. I don't know, maybe it's just my hold over love for the A TEAM "pity da foo!!". On another note, Has anyone had experience with accuracy systems? It looks like they do some pretty cool mini 14 work. They clain sub MOA on many of...
