    Hoarding is getting to me!

I love how people who were caught short in previous shortages are busting your chops about current people being caught short now. And how everybody who has been buying a box or so every now and then think you are attacking them. With friends like this, who needs Feinstien?

LGS's that fear gouge. Would or will you go back?

Some of these arguments I'm reading on this forum are ludicrous. People should pay multiple times the price of something in order to support a LGSs family and employees because they just aren't sure when they will get new supplied in stock? That ain't helping a LGS out, it's like a reverse...

    Best Caliber for Semi-Auto Rifle

I plan on going with a 22" barrel. I figure if I wanted the carbine, I'd go with the ruger .44. i used to use my father's '73 carbine and it did great till one of the parts broke. Anyway, I really appreciate everybody's input. It was far more than I expected to get. It seems that my two...

    Best Caliber for Semi-Auto Rifle

So, it seems that none of the calibers themselves have any inherent issues with being in a semi-auto (jamming, reliability, accuracy, etc.). I've decided against the .243, but still don't know between the .270, .308 and .30-06. I guess what it comes down to is the .270 is "flatter," the...

    Best Caliber for Semi-Auto Rifle

I've been hunting with a .270 bolt action, but wasn't sure how it would work in the semi-auto... it had me leaning to the .308 or .30-06

    Best Caliber for Semi-Auto Rifle

Any recommendations for the best caliber for a semi-automatic hunting rifle -- the calibers I'm interested in in the .243, .270, .308, .30-06, so please limit any feedback to these calibers. 85% of my hunting time is less than 100 yards, but the remainding 15% may go out to 200 yards. Any help...

    .243 or .270?

Either the .243 or .270 is fine. My father has hunted with the .243 for years and has killed plenty of deer with it -- one shot, one kill. I've used the .270 for the last 3-4 years, and have have the same success. The .270 was the remington model 710. Of all the combo packages I checked...
