    Marking a receiver

I've been playing with motorcycles over the last few years but I've recently back into building, and while the build is going ok, one thing I haven't figured out is how to mark the receiver in a professional looking way, safe semi etc, any hints and tips to share ?

So it looks like nail varnish

Has it ever been decided what the ammo manufacturers use to seal the primer pockets and case mouths, and if it has where do you buy it. WT

Shooting MG's and buying an old motorcycle

Thanks for your thoughts, I'm really just reliving various parts of my past, none of it very rational, but I'm not into single shots or modern bikes WT

Shooting MG's and buying an old motorcycle

After an absence of ten years I'm planning a trip from the UK to Knob Creek to have a little shooting fun. When I'm over I'm looking to buy a 70's or 80's dual sport bike for transport during the vacation and to then ship home to restore. Think XT 500 / DT 400 Yamaha TS 400 Suzuki type of thing...

    Improving Israeli barreled FN K98

Thanks for your input, the bore looks ok and the crown a bit scuffed but nothing to major, its got a standard wooden stock and looks like it was made for the Columbians before the Israelis got hold of it, no doubt a good story in itself WT

    Improving Israeli barreled FN K98

magtech 45 Lc embarrasment at the range

First of all thanks to everyone who's taken the trouble to reply I appreciate your contributions. The gun I'm using is a Winchester 94 lever gun with a 16in barrel, I've used Vit 3N37 for a long time with mixed results ( mainly because its what I had on hand and Speer list it in their reloading...

magtech 45 Lc embarrasment at the range

Well its time to swallow my pride and say that the 250grn Magtech cowboy ammo I bought today is shooting perfectly to my sights, Way way better than anything I've ever managed with my handloads, so does anybody know what powder they use and how much of it. I know I can weigh a charge and chrono...

suggest a good 308 for a normal Joe

Funnily enough I already have an Enfield 303 SMLE from 1916, and it was bad news for many Germans I would guess, but its never going to be suitable for this task as its totally original and looks like it was lifted from the Somme yesterday WT

suggest a good 308 for a normal Joe

suggest a good 308 for a normal Joe

I'm interested in opinions on a good accurate out of the box, 308 bolt action rifle, obviously the Rem 700 would be a strong candidate, but what else is in the same price bracket. It would just be for target shooting out to 600 yards maximum.nothing "tactical" as I don't work for the government...
