Don't know about anyone else, but I still handload all of my hunting rounds. And, yes I have an old "military" rifle put up.

Military surplus guns in Metro ATL

Don Lu, check out any pawn shops in your area. All of the pawn shops in my area (N.W. GA) are loaded down with Mil Surplus Last time I looked,(four or five months ago) prices were not to bad. Anyway, hope you find what you are looking for.

About firearms-M1s, Carbines, and Jap 25s

I am not trying to stir the muck, but I do not think Japan could have occupied the US. But at that time Japan really did not know true defeat. To die in battle was everything. No mercy. So, the men and women of our country died fighting a enemy that would show no mercy to anyone that was not...

    Winchester Model 12

That's why it has been a closet queen all these years. Not only does it have a tremendous sentimental value, I did not want to add any more wear and tear to it. It will belong to my son one of these days, and hopefully to his son. I have a few that I hope stays in the family for many, many...

Mine is also a 12 Gauge.I am going to have to shoot it now, at least once, since you both say it is one of the finest Pumps ever made. Thanks again for the input

    Winchester Model 12

Thanks ArmedBear! I have often thought of shooting it. For me, owning any gun and not shooting it is strange. But, I think it's one of those real special gifts you sometimes get from someone that is no longer with us, and I think thats been my holdup. I will shoot it one day in the near future.

    Winchester Model 12

I have a old Winchester Model 12 that was passed down to me years ago. It has been a safe queen since I have had it. It is the only gun I own that I have never shot, due to its age and sentimental value to me. Is there anyone that has one, and if so, what is your opinion of this model? I know it...

    I want one!

Seen the simi auto version of this (the street sweeper) But of course, it did not have all of the different types of rounds. Just 12 gauge. And that guy that host the show rubs me the wrong way. He was talking so quite like he was telling a secret.

Charles Daly Wants to Hear From You!

Mr. Kassnar. Welcome to the HIGHROAD! 1st, you are a brave man (and also a smart business man). I wish all of the Manufactors had a rep that was a member of THR. I know that with a lot of "give and take" info from the members here, you can make your company bigger, and better. Thank you, and...

    Lasik and shooting revisited....

Wally, if you dont mind, what age group are you in? I am 52 and wore contacts until I was around 45. My eyes then changed on the near focus(had to go to trifocal glasses) I would be interested in having something like Lasik done if it corrected not only my being nearsighted but also repairing...

    Descendants of Civil War Veterans

I live in Chickamauga GA, on the bank of the mighty Chickamauga creek. The battlefield is 5 minutes away from my home. All of the streets in this little town are named for Civil War General's. Lookout Mtn, Chattanooga, Missionary Ridge are all places I drive through on a weekly basis. So much...

Jim's Pawn & Gun Jobbery's firearms license in danger

I have never been to or shopped at the Store in question. I would only say that it looks like he is going to get his day in court, and until then, he is innocent. There use to be two gun shops in this little town I live in. The last one just closed a couple of months ago. It is sad.

Ear Damage (hearing loss and ringing)

My Brother-in-Law was sighting in his deer rifle this year, shot it once without any ear protection, and has lost all hearing in his right ear. He was just fitted with a $7000.00 hearing aid for his left ear. Now he knew he had some hearing loss anyway, but he said as soon as he shot the rifle...

Do you keep your factory handgun boxes?

Yes I keep the boxes (although I would have to spend a week trying to find them)as I have a large out building that I store things like that.

    Need .30-30 info

Hey Scrat, wasnt putting down the 94, as I know a lot of people have them, but for me personally, I think the Marlin has a smoother action. At least, compairing the one Marlin to the three Winchester's I have owned. The Winchester's were good shooting rifles, just stiff on the Lever

    Need .30-30 info

I have owned 3 Winchester Model 94's over the past 35 years and got rid of all of them. I never liked the action of these rifles. My father-in-law passed away back in the 90's and left me a Marlin 35. I love this rifle. Smooth action, great brush rifle. I know there are a lot of folks that use...
