Sounds to me like you may have an issue with the fitment of your series II pushrod, or fireing pin block. See attached pics... I suggest that you reinstall your stock recoil spring, drift out your rear sight, remove your fireing pin, and remove your fireing pin block...reassemble and test...

Jimmy, You can get Glock's in .45 ACP, OR .45 GAP. You seem to miss the point. The .45 GAP was made so that you could have all the power of the .45 ACP in a smaller sized gun. Having said that, I personally see no need to downsize from a 1911. - JM.
