I just picked up a SigP220 Compact. Only one trip to the range so far, but I think this will be a favorite.

I don't care. Who ever does it will just tack on more to the price for some extra graphics or engraving etc, which I don't like. It's a gun, not jewelry. Matte black works for me.

I don't think so. Looking at it, without removing it, I cant see any mold marks along the edge. From what I've read, if you have a defective one, chances are it will break on the first outing, pretty rare. I put 150 rounds or so through it with no issues so far. It's a P220 Compact S/A...

I love my FNPs Thousands of rounds and never a hiccup. And yes, the 45 is a VERY smooth shooter.

Mine was a little finicky at first. I polished the feed ramp and it's been great ever since. Takes most ammo. Best $250 I spent on a gun.

All I can say is that if I had to get rid of all my guns one by one, my hi-power would be the last to go. I'd keep looking until I found one at a decent price, you won't regret it. Thank you for your service!

I think some were made with a carbon fiber frame and had that checkered look.

Size of the gun doesn't really matter. The FNP-45 is a huge gun, but is very comfortable in an IWB holster. Right behind the hip bone is usually a good spot. No gut jokes please.

It's a Browning BDA .380. They were made by Beretta.

Both are very fine weapons, but hard to compare to each other. I'd go with the USP because of cheaper, more available ammo.
