Best handgun / holster CCW combo for working outside in the heat

I've carried a Ruger Stainless P90 for over 5 years, year round, in a Milt Sparks VM2HS. My clothes get wet enough to ring water out, but I take the gun out at night, and the holster is dry the next morning. As was mentioned earlier, the Horsehide don't absorb the sweat like cowhide.

The only P90's that Ruger is showing now are the exclusives. Looks like production is about to shut down on them.

    Meprolights vs Trijicons...

I researched both and looked at guns with both before going with Trijicon on my CCW. I'm very happy with it, and also the fact that they are made in USA. My CCW was also made in USA.

    Catching flak for ccw

I have no trouble with Family Members. Guess my family thinks a lot alike. My Wife has a permit and Carries, and my Son does also. My Gunsmith and Engraver knows I carry, and also my Pawnshop friend where I get most of my Guns. That is the extent of those that know I carry, and I have a lot of...

    Catching flak for ccw

I'm going on my second license term and carried long before that. I have never had anyone notice or say anything about me Carrying. Had a Police Officer stop me for a Tag Light out, and saw a loaded .45 magazine in the door pocket. Ask me if I was Carrying and I told him I had it on me now. He...

One Gun For All Carry Situations?

I have a number of guns of different kinds. Rifles, Shotgun, Pistols, and Revolvers. I carry one gun all the time, and have for years. I've never shot anybody with it, but have shot a lot of different varmints with it because I had it when I needed it. The Largest animals we have here is Black...

    Does caliber even matter??

I've tried them all and settled for what the Military used for years, and would like to use again. I'm sure they don't know what's best. :( It just happens to be what I shoot best, and since shot placement plays the most important roll, that's what I use. Just remember if everyone thought one...

    Shot my first .45 yesterday!

I had a 9mm and didn't like the snappy recoil. I bought a .45 and gave the 9mm to my Wife. The first time she shot my .45, she said I want one like yours. I got her one, and she let our Son have the 9mm. The .45 is my favorite caliber, and hers also.

    The demise of metal

I have several Polymer guns, and my favorite, and one that I choose for every day protection, just happens to be one that the Youngster was referring to here. I think there will always be some Companies, that will make the all metal gun, because there will be enough people prefer them, that...

    Quality American non-1911 semi-autos?

I have several brands of used guns. All the new guns that I have bought for several years have been Rugers. I don't think they can be beat, in what you get for your money. My CCW is a Ruger P90DC, and I prefer it over anything else. JMHO :)
