    Explanation of holsters?

I'll toss out a few thoughts that I have. It looks like an OK in waistband holster. It will have two problems in my mind. First is retention, or holding onto of the weapon. My experience with generic nylon holsters is that most do not hold onto the weapson well and can allow it to fall out...

Is the Super Tuck Deluxe any good?

The Supertuck does come with a Combat Cut option.

    Bersa 380 cc holster

I have two tuckables for my .380cc. Crossbreed Supertuck and the Galco 2nd Amendment. Crossbreed is more comfortable and is my favorite. The 2nd Amend. is designed for deeper concealment, but it has a tendency to shift around a bit and the hard, sharp bits will be in contact with your skin if...

    llama .45

I had a Llama made Firestore 1911 made around 2004 for a while. The gun gave me no problems at all and I was quite happy with it. I picked it up to get a feel for what the 1911 was, how it worked, and what to look for when I went to spend more serious money later. The pistol was very accurate...

    Used 870 Police

Don't know if they are wingmasters, but Dury's in San Antonio had several 870s listed on their web site not too long ago.

My recycler takes them as brass. Worth a call to the ones in your area to see.

9mm RN vs Trucated Cone FMJ? Does it matter AT ALL?

Since getting a .357 sig that requires truncated cone bullets I've been loading them for my 9mm also. They have worked in my Ruger P89 and SR9C. Only difference for reloading is having to set the overall cartridge length shorter than for round nose. For round nose my minimun length was...

    reloading 357 sig

I've used Lee, RCBS, and Hornady dies and they all work well. I prefer Lee for their price/performance, but like Hornady just a bit more for consistency of seating the bullets. There are lots of powder/bullet combinations that you'll find as you begin to read and research loading manuals and...

    Taurus PT145 Millenium Pro

I had the same problem dropping the magazine while shooting, but could never find a way that my big paws would prevent the problem. The other issue I had was the magazine ejecting while the gun was in a holster. That created a rather embarassing situation at a neighbors house one afternoon...

    Crossbreed Supertucks...

I've purchased several and had them all within about a week. My oldest one still has the original plastic belt clips. Makes it, what, 3-4 years old? Most are less than 2 years old. Youngest is about 6 months old.

    Hornady L-N-L AP EZ-Ject Conversion

Mine were really tight, but broke loose with a bit of effort. With allen wrenches it really is important to have quality since a small variance of the tool can cause problems. Other than that, the suggestions of heat and tapping should help.

    Taurus Millenium Pro?

I owned a PT-145 for a few months. It was reliable and very accurate. I loved the capacity vs small size that it offered. Then only downside was the magazine release. The release was activated several times when the gun was in its holster. Several times the magazine clattered to the ground...

    Blowback Recoil

I think some of the answer to your question is how the recoil may be perceived by different people. With blowback, I tend to feel the recoil as a heavier, snappier hit on the palm of my hand than with a similar locked-breech gun. Muzzle flip seems about the same to me.

Hornady LNL AP 9 mm brass not fitting in Shell plate

With the newer EZ-Ject system I've not had any problems with 9mm cases either putting them in the shell plate or having the press eject them. I also did not have to modify the plates is have in any way for any of the calibers that I reload. Maybe I'm just lucky? I did have one plate that...

Benefits/Drawbacks of Leather vs. Kydex ?

I have a leather and kydex holster and was a bit surprised when I found that the leather side was wearing my gun more than the kydex side. YMMV.

anyone carry a bersa thunder 380? a couple questions...

Mikeboyd, In the half cocked position, the firing pin safety on the Bersa is deactivated. Anything bumps/hits the hammer hard enough to make it fall could fire the cartridge. I follow the routine that Jackstinson described because that is how the pistol was designed to work. If I'm wrong...

what do you think about the Bersa Thunder 380

I have to give a more mixed review of the BT380 and 380cc. Both of mine had lots of initial problems that were eventually resolved. After the issues were corrected, both guns have been uterly reliable.
