Old fluff, thanks for your reply is actually very logical.
I don't have the greatest eye sight so when I was looking at the extractor it had a half moon curve to it. Looked normal. I zoomed in with my phone & the edges looked jagged. After watching a you tube video I pulled out the firing...
So about 2 weeks ago I purchased a new hard chrome Girsan 1911 .45 from Buds. Picked it up from my FLL feeling satisfied with the fit/finish. This morning I cleaned & lubed with oil then headed out to the range with 100rds of WWB to test her out.
The first 4 8rd magazines shoot flawless and...
Thanks guys!
Carl,
You were absolutely correct. The locking pin just needed to be trimmed down to fit properly. I still need to file it a tad bit more as its a little tight but it other wise fits fine. Loads up good. Hopefully I can do a function test this weekend.
Thanks everyone.
Well I found this picture of a similar rifle with the same sights. It doesn't appear to me that its been modified. I think the locking pin just needs to be smaller to fit. I think I see the "L" shape inside but I'm not positive.
oops
So it appears I have ordered the wrong tube. Its 20- 27/32" for pre' 75 model 60s....where could I go wrong? Measurements of the tube show the inner tube about a 1mm longer. The "lock" is also larger. But when I insert the inner tube the gap is larger. Possibly due to the larger tab.
Now...
Thanks guys
I have the tube on order and I'll try to wipe that paint scruff off. The squirrel is located on the grip guys, sorry if the picture is confusing.
It certainly is a graceful looking lil 22lr. Maybe I'll even try my hand at ground squirrel hunting in the desert or tree squirrels...
Thanks for the help everyone. It has a serial number starting with 72xxxx from what I read this means it was produced in '72.
I took it out on Sunday & played with it as a single shot by dropping a shell in the magazine tube. It shoots pretty nice so I ordered a inner magazine tube from...
Hey guys I need some help determining what parts I need. I just picked up a Glenfield Model 60 rifle for $25. Its in great shape some sort of squirrel pattern. Ive never used a tube fed rifle so I don't know what's missing. Any help is appreciated.
Tomorrows event is being held at 2811 N 39th Ave Phoenix, AZ......I was hoping to attend and look for a few things since the group will run out of money quickly.... Unfortunately the Church is directly across from a elementary school.
Any opinions on how not to place myself in to a jam?

If you'd liked to read up on procedure. I don't envision a waiving of those 30 hours or consideration/debate from certain senators.
Excuse my ignorance but how & why was it decided that there would not be a 30 hour wait to give the senators a chance to view the text of the Toomey-Manchin Amendment?
Done deal...I gave what I could, its not much. I still have not received my NRA member packet from joining in Dec or that free gift card for BassPro. I supposed they need it more than I do. LOL
I like the idea, I always make a note to look for the gun buster signs.
I'm not sure how well the alarm function would work, most people I know including myself don't always have GPS & Wifi enabled due to battery power concerns. So our location could be a bit off giving false readings/ alarms.
I think it should be noted that the bill to sell/trade unclaimed property (including firearms) passed in a 5-2 vote.

Well... I once left my lil beretta tomcat on the roof of my truck, drove to my brothers house to dump a bed full of dirt 12+ miles away. Got out to start shoveling dirt and hey!!!! what do u know there's my baby still sitting on the roof. I couldn't believe it, I even took the freeway....
