    Group Attacks on Armed Citizens

Until there is some magical brain scan that shows an individuals intent, anytime two or more are gathered for ill intent we should expect them all to be in for the fight. This means we fight with what we brought with us. What is the harm in speculation and preparing for the worst case? There is...

Colorado Magazine Ban going to State Supreme Court

Recent military contract mags have month and year. I'm pretty sure my PMags have dates as well.

Colorado Magazine Ban going to State Supreme Court

A lot of Mags come with a "born on date" but I've yet to hear of anyone being prosecuted under the new law. but it's hanging out there so they can tack it onto other charges.

Weaver K6 on a varmint gun?

I love the old straight powered 4, 6, 8, & 10 x Weaver and Leupold scopes and won't pass one by if the price is right.

    "Move to a Better Neighborhood"

From what I've observed, any neighborhood no matter how upscale is only one power outage, fire, or natural disaster away from becoming a playground for looters. Some locals give home owners some rights to defend themselves but some do not.

    .280 Remington do all

Nothing wrong with Core loct ammo but if your No.1 has accuracy problems I'd try the heavier bullets from 150-175 gr.

    On the Fence with Interlock

Interlocks are one of my favorite hunting bullets to reload. I know them to be effective on Mule Deer and Elk in 7MM and .30 caliber and I use them exclusively in my 280 and 30-06 hunting rifles. Very pleased with more than 3 decades of use on dozens of big game animals.

My AR got super hot on a long car trip. You think there's any damage?

There have been a few discussions on polymer parts if guns melting that were hysterical to read. Heat is real and in the southwest steel left out in the sun doesn't have to be looked at for to long before it's set back down.

    S&W 686

Yeah S&W has had some canted and misaligned barrel issues for sure.

Why do SAO handguns need manual safeties, but striker fired ones dont?

Guess I don't get it, my claim is exactly what yours is if I'm correct. Perhaps I should say there is a world of difference? Is that clearer.

Why do SAO handguns need manual safeties, but striker fired ones dont?

Where is that video of the lady cop putting a round into the pavement next to the perp on the ground. I think that might be a 92. People get shot and shoot themselves more frequently than we desire to admit. Yours is better, mine is better because we do it this way on the range means nothing if...

    Sticker Shock gun shipping costs!

    That's a problem I've wondered about.

Why do SAO handguns need manual safeties, but striker fired ones dont?

It is entirely plausible to have the hammer drawn back on a DA or SA pistol or DA/SA Revolver without having intentionally fired a shot. The 1911 is only the flick of the safety, the K Frame S&W only has to have the hammer drawn back and the Berretta 92 can also have the hammer cocked without a...

    Drones endanger elk herds.

Well I'm not worried about armed drones but I don't think I've ticked people off enough to think they'd try and knock me off (at least it's been a while since I think I've had that status). The potential is certainly there and not many years ago we saw some video hunts in Texas that caused some...

    Drones endanger elk herds.

If I can hear it and it's over my property that starts to be a problem given how quiet they are. I don't care if it's a cookout, wedding, birthday, militia training or me in my birthday suit. Now this started with wildlife harassment, in CO you can shoot a dog if it is harassing wildlife or...

    Drones endanger elk herds.

We use drones regularly for project documentation and progress measurements. I've seen some spectacular photos and videos of scenery and wildlife from aspects that otherwise would be unavailable but human nature being what it is will push the envelope until it tears. I agree with Art on the...

Ex-husband with body armors kills 2 women in shoot-out

OK, you sound like you have a medical background and I do not so I'll keep this in layman's terms. Over the years I've known some who have had hip/pelvic injuries from broken pelvises to dislocated hips and injuries there are extremely painful. The spine also anchors there at a point below...

Why do SAO handguns need manual safeties, but striker fired ones dont?

Unlike you I've long suspected some of the above shootings as well as non injury ND's to be attributed to DA/SA or SA only revolvers and pistols that were cocked and triggered unintentionally in either a careless or high stress situation. I doubt there is accurate data for either of our claims...

Ex-husband with body armors kills 2 women in shoot-out

If you can't find someone with a simple search a small fee gets past a few fire walls but I doubt there are many that haven't found an old friend or classmate using Google. I have no stats but there are thousands of divorces each year and many more simple separations that are undocumented but a...

    Drones endanger elk herds.

The Gunnison Basin in CO has shed picking regulations. It may seem hard for some of us to believe or understand but people have been known to " push" the animals to cause their antlers to drop due to motion caused by running. Obviously, late in the winter/early spring when they shed and may...
