    An "everything" shotgun

I went through a similar though process last month. I got a Supernova w/24" barrel. The supernova 24" seems to be a bit of the 'jack of all trades, master of none" type shotgun, and I am happy with that. So far I am getting used to it. I have only shot it twice. It is my first...

    Jams in pump guns?

BTW I had a disturbing failure of my new Supernova today. I loaded 5 shells, racked the first shell and it jammed. It appears to have tried to let 2 rounds onto the carrier. I had to unscrew the magazine and empty the shells, relieving pressure on the carrier. There didn't seem to be...

    Glock trigger question

If it is for SD the stock trigger or even a heaver trigger spring may be the more appropriate option. If my recollection is correct the 3.5 connectors are for competition and are considered too light for a SD gun. H.

Is this worthy of sending back to Glock?

I'm not saying that a gunsmith can't work on it, it's probably better that Glock replaces it (assuming it is defective). Tenifer is there for durability and corrosion protection. Why mess with it? Regarding milling for different sights, there are so many after-market sights available for...

Is this worthy of sending back to Glock?

I believe glock barrels are tenifered. I don't think you want a gunsmith to re-crown it. My guess is that Glock should replace the barre. H.

    GP 100 & Hogue Grips

If you press them out, try a little penetrating oil or liquid wrench. You can also try applying a little heat from a blowtorch. Just don't overdo it, and you may NOT want to use the penetrating oil and blowtorch at same time. Good Luck. H.

    GP 100 & Hogue Grips

I believe you are referring to the grip panel locator. It is a stud, about 3/8 of an inch round and runs through the rubber grip and the frame. Mine appears to be made of aluminum. It would probably be pretty easy to drill out. Just order a new one if you replace the grip with the old...

CZ 75B Slide to Frame Question.

Yes, it is that loose. It is a 75b SS Limited Edition. I suppose I could clamp the frame in a vice a give it a squeeze, but I'm not sure I want to Muck with it like that. My p89 and 92f are almost as loose. My G26 is a bit tighter. Neither of them have more that a couple thousand...

CZ 75B Slide to Frame Question.

How loose is loose? What is the disadvantage if it loose? Every semi-auto slide that I have is loose. Many are loose enough that I can make it rattle a bit if I shake it side-to-side. My CZ is one of the loosest. My guess is that accuracy depends more on the barrel to slide lockup...

Anyone have a GP100 with a great trigger job?

If you are mechanically inclined and want to save some bucks look into Iowegan's gun guide to the GP100. http://rugerforum.net/miscellaneous/20585-new-iowegan-gun-guide.html I have the predecessor to this, the IBOK. It s an excellent tutorial on how revolvers and the GP100 works, and...

New to forum and new gp100 owner...question on gp100.

I have a 6" SS GP100 and it is a very well made revolver. All my cylinders have equal amount of play at lockup and my understanding is that it is normal. I believe with most revolvers there is supposed to be rotational play. This allows the cylinder to move/adjust as the bullet moves...

Anybody Shoot for Pleasure & Accuracy?

I shoot purely for the enjoyment of shooting paper targets. I am fortunate enough to live in a very low crime neighborhood, so I don't think I have a lot of SD needs. I don't hunt either. I guess I can't bring myself to killing animals (but maybe someday I will give it a try), although I...

    Need a new 357

I have both and here is how I would briefly compare them: GP100 More rugged Longer and often heavier trigger (you can smoothen it, but it will still be longer) Handles heavier loads (i think), if that is your thing. Uglier (in the eye of this beholder) Cheaper up front, but you won't...
