UPDATE UPDATE
Okay - I lucked up and discovere a gunshop/smith about 50 min from me. He was very familiar with the 670 and told me to bring him just the bolt. Won't need the gun.
Basically the 670 was a cut corners model 70. Area's in cutting cost was faster assembly = less fitting. Its not...
This is a Winchester 1968 model 670. Looks as if it was used very little as there are minimal marks on any blued or blackened steel and the magazine follower isnt marred up very much.
The only thing iffy about it is that in the safety rearward position the bolt doesnt lock down like it...
In my quest to simplify my current conceal carry guns it has been difficult if not a chore to not notice the benefits of the Glock platform. My first GLock I purchased was the G26. Then I went to the 1911 platform. For sake of simplicity and ease of use coupled with the ability to change all...
primary's are a bilboard roll mark 5" Colt 1911, xse Colt Lightweight Commander, Springfield Loaded 5".
As backups I have a Kimber pre series II Compact, glock 19 & 26, SIG 226
Then I have my LMT AR-15 :)
The beginin of the rise is about 75 yards past where I am shooting. Sorry you feel that way and I see how you can have that opinion at a desk. You might feel different if could see for yourself but I understand your opinion. My fathers land stops about 50 yards behind me so I am extreamly...
I grew up in these woods and this is a gentle slope down, with a creek and an emmediate rise in elevation for about 200 yards afterwards. No houses or people live near by.
Man I enjoyed putting rounds downrange with my new 14.5” LMT. For me it was a lot more enjoyable to handle than my HBAR 16” A1 gun. Its solid, no wiggle from top to bottom. The SOPMOD stock is also solid. No wiggle and will actually take time to break in because its tight and hold 2 spare...
Took my new 14.5" LMT with Aimpoint red dot out for a test run today.
I got the Aimpoint 2moa redot to give me controlled fast groups 1 1/4" groups at 25 yards. Is that what I am looking for?
The sticky dots I had are 1 1/8" and the red dot pretty much covered the target dot + my poor...
just my opinion. You can do it other ways but most of todays rear sights dont provide a catch to rack it 1 handed. Why dont you inform us of the other ways instead of :neener:
We can all be more informed that way. Thought that was the purpose of the froums anyways.
I replaced my FLGR in my Spriger because I HATE 2 piece guide rods. MOre to go wrong at the wrong time.
I prefer the standard length because I can rack a round if needed 1 handed with the bottom of the slide agains something. Cant do that without the standard length!
I find that the 1911 is the platform that is the most comfortable for me. I carry iwb and can hide a fullsize easy in t shirt. My 4" with officer frame is my t shirt no print piece. Fullsize grip models will print a little and when no print whatsoever is required, on goes the glock 26. It is...
I dont know what it is but this gun just makes me smile. Simple, aint gonna cry if scratched, not a hicup to be had, not too tight or loose....sweetness.
Found this local used and under $500 bucks!!! She feeds so smooth you can almost ease the slide forward and she still feeds
This gun...
Let us know what you find. I Was lucky enough to find a Kimber Compact thats ran flawless. Its a pre series II and that model is what some say outshines the SERIES II stuff. Not bashing Kimber, just saying to make sure you know what your looking at. There are guys out there that will snag a...
