I was getting ready to go to the range and I was unloading the MagSafe ammo I had in my magazines and I noticed several of the rounds have pitting on the casing. The ammo is at least 10 years old. Think this ammo is safe to shoot? I have already decided I am not going to keep the rounds...

I am not really that knowledgeable on this subject, so when you say you have trouble with the 77gr Black Hills, what exactly do you mean?

If one is using 75 grain ammo, is it ok to use a 1:9" twist 9.2" barrel if you are only looking at 50 yard shooting distances or less?

This is a bit off topic, but related to a SB .223. With such short barrels, doesn't muzzle velocity almost immediately fall below the 2700 fps magic number desired for fragmentation? If you are using it in anger, aren't you basically just punching .22 cal holes into whatever (or whomever) you...
