I like both platforms, and would not feel undergunned for HD with either one.
But if I was to have to pick one or the other, it would be the Carbine. Handling qualities, semi-auto speed and follow up as well as detachable box mags and their capacity would sway me to the M-1.
As Vern, Phil and a few others have mentioned, your cylinder should not be spinning free if your are loading in the most commonly accepted manner.
So you should be able to use HKS loaders without problem.
Having said that, my personal preferance for my own use is for the Safariland Comp...
They are a decent gun for the money. They fit better in most peoples hand than do the Glocks.
As many have previously mentioned the triggers are too stiff, but on this type of gun (Stiker fired with no manual safety) thats no necessarily a bad thing.
You certainly can do worse...

I would suggest the BLUE Sig 232 for first choice because it is made with an alloy frame and only weighs 17oz
Second if weight is not the deciding factor then its almost a flip of the coin.
The PPK is smaller overall, but the 232 has a bit better trigger.

Exactly right. The ejector rod punches out each individual case from the single action blackhawk. It should make a nice shooting piece, with the price of 9mm so cheap.:)
