Ever thought of building a blind on a small garden tractor sized trailer? Of course it would have to be furnished with some leveling jacks, but easy to do.

I use my pops old Remington 760 game master in 30-06. I've filled my tags every year for the last 5 or 6 years with it. I've got a Remmy 700 in 308, a Remmy 742 in -06 and having a Mauser actioned .243 built, but haven't shot at any animals with those last three.
Butch.
I shoot a 30-06 for deer hunting simply cause it's what I've got. I'm having a .243 built on an old Mauser action that I'll be using next year. Here in TX, the deer aren't particularly large, and a .243 is perfect with a well placed shot, a side benefit is that you can shoot a turkey or coyote...
I would look around for some lead balls for a muzzle loader/cap and ball revolver that is a little larger than the holes you want to fill, gently tap them into the cylinders and barrel. The lead is soft enough to go in fairly easily but will be stuck good. It's reversible of course, but not...
Well, funny question. If it is indeed a 52, the date code would be something like YYY however, my date code looks like three slanted slashes with little tails on them. Possibly ZZZ which I think would make it a 53. Serial number is 141xxx.
Butch.
I've got a couple of 40s or 50s era Ideal manuals so I could get reloading data for my old .41 Long Colt. Otherwise, I use more up to date manuals.

I have never used a progressive press, but I started this journey on a Lee 4 hole Turret press. Love the control. Later changed to an older Lyman Spar-T Turret, and now use a Lyman T-Mag plus. I do use a single stage Lyman for priming though.

I've got what I believe is a 1952 Remington 760 GameMaster in 30-06 that belonged to my pop. I recently tore it down to refinish the wood and noticed that the barrel did not have the correct date stampings and it has a stamp on the opposite side that says REP with an oval circle around it. Is...
I recently picked up one of those Firestorm 1911 clones at a gun show and I'm a bit confused. I haven't seen another one like it in my research, but this one appears to be an older Llama make (says made in spain on the lower and "Fabrinor Vitoria {espana} on the upper). What has me confuzzled is...
Lech, I sent you a PM, but in case you didn't get it, I've got some loaded .41 short CFs here in front of me. I accidentally bought them thinking they were LC.
Butch.
I'm glad to see people talking about Herters. I have one of the model 3 super-O presses, a set of 30-06 dies and the shell holders for the 06 and 30-30. Not only that, but I've got one of those microadjust powder measures too. With all that cast iron, I'm afraid my reloading shed might sink into...
I'm thinking a S&W .41 mag with a 6" barrel in stainless..but that might put ya over the top on cash. Second choice for me would be a winchester or remington .22 target rifle...again, that might be a bit over the budget.
Butch.
Well, the best I can do is tell you about helping open a safe that had been abandoned in a warehouse for about 10 years. When we finally got it open, there was a S&W 357, a TEC9, a matching pair of .22 single shot derringers (italian knockoffs) and a cigar box full of folding knives along with...
They look like something from a low budget sci-fi movie...really low budget. I don't know what the bulk of that material is made of, but it looks plastic. I don't like plastic guns even if they do cost 7G or whatever. Different strokes I guess.
Butch.
I've been having the same delimma myself. I am setting up a MN for my wife for her first deer rifle. Needless to say, it will have a new stock (NOT ATI) that has been shortened and otherwise modded for her stature as well as some sort of optics mount. I'm leaning towards having the receiver...
I've only heard whispers about smoothbore remingtons, and I wonder why anyone would build a gun they wanted to be accurate without rifling? I could understand if it were a carnival rifle with a loose smoothbore barrel to make it inherently INaccurate. All that aside, I've recently located three...
A few I had lying around my desk...
First up are two of my daily carriers, a Benchmade Elishewitz Stryker in ATS34 stainless and an old Case XX two blade
Next is what I carried this year hunting (minus the two folders that were in my pocket) Schrade stainless gut hook skinner, no name carbon...
