Get the carry version...
I have the P220 carry version, the Equinox in 45 acp. Great handgun! Very reliable - I have th 2 tone version.- Slightly smaller than the traditional 220, but not in a bad way. Go check one out for yourself, and see how you like it.
Good luck to you.
Pink, yuch
I would not own something pink just because I'm female. As a matter of fact, I hate the color pink and don't own anything in that shade! My guns are either black or stainless, or blued. But, I guess that's how the world goes 'round.
Re: Fox News- hmmmm
Well, at least they talk about the issues- I think CNN is the worst culprit. All you get from them is disgust when the subject of guns is brought up. they are the most condescending bunch of reporters I've ever heard...:cuss:
well, gotta say...
amongst all the ones owned /or shot; got to shoot a Stoner 63 at Knob Creek a few years back.....was told I was only the 2nd woman to shoot it! Nice little belt fed 223! Very easy to handle and shoot a belt thru. :D
Need to exercise the hands and fingers
When I started shooting, I had trouble racking the slides of the 45's I was using. Hubby told me to push the frame while holding the slide and it worked. However, I also worked on improving my hand strength and within a few months had no trouble with...
Thanks for the link! Read most of it...
I tried to read most of it, skipped over the parts where it dived into obscure opinions, but I did read some of the old cases that were brought up. I thought it was very well written, and I liked the way it touched a lot of areas where we could very...
gun purchasing thru internet...
Well, we have bought and sold a few thru the internet, and have had no problems, thankfully. Of course, we always reply if we are the sellers, promptly, and some of those were high dollar items. We know the owner and salesmen at a reputable gun store in our...
Pro gun attorney info, thanks all!
Appreciate all the responses! Think I'll check out all the info and keep it in my wallet for a just in case! Hope I never need it to use it!
At least I'm steered in the right direction now. ;)
Just my honest opinion, but...
while I can understand what you may have gone through at the hands of your father, aren't you still tending to paint the gun owning society with that same brush you used for him? While he may not have been the father or husband that he should have been, the fact...
I just read a thread on what to do if you have to use your gun in self defense, mainly, keep your mouth shut, and call your lawyer. My question is, who of us has a lawyer to call on such short notice? I have never had to use the services of one, and hope I never do, but thinking about this...
To Jeff367
We shoot at a state range in Northern IN- there is a sign on the range officers building stating that illinois shooters cannot come into Indiana to use the range facilities with a handgun.
We questioned the RO on this and he stated that the reason was that Illinois does not honor...
Knob Ceek, in Bullitt county!
Machine gun range....have shoots 2 times a year...always the 2nd weekend of April and October. (pretty much) we used to go all the time until time and money interfered. they have a web site i do believe....:D
Stay because Indiana is gun friendly and also..
Personally, when I was young, the family were here, and I never went to colllege and never had a job that paid me enough to save and start over. Plus I didn't know what I could do as a career. And the recession hit and you couldn't find a job...
Ugh....can't stand that Mac!
He just doesn't impress me at all! Hubby and I have caught just about all of the bs, mistakes, etc. I don't care if he doesn't have editing license, he should be able to correct a mistake! And the whispering is too, too much. :barf:
I nominate the Gunny...
Hard to know where to start....
For one, who will listen? I have written letters, emailed, signed petitions, am a member of the NRA, go shooting, try to speak to others about the sport, etc. Seems as if the 'powers that be' shut off once they get into office. Gets to be the I'll scratch...
No sarcasm intended, but felt I had to reply...
To Spot77: I read your post on being outside to show your support for gun rights, and applaud your being able to do so. While I wish I could take time off and show my support personally too, my job and monetary situation preclude that from...
Speaking as the wife...
Yup! I shoot as much as possible with hubby, had only shot a 22 lr before meeting him. Love to shoot handguns, and like the rifle second. Carry a 45 Sig, my favorite caliber! In rifles, love the 6.8, much nicer than the 5.56 and then there's the 50 bmg! :D
Ammo serializing--reloading would be banned too!
If you read the gist of what they want, nobody could be reloading, because of the serial numbers, and all current ammo would have to be disposed of by 2011! So, reloading would be outlawed!
And, yes, I was going to post the ammocoding web link...
