I have a 1983 made colt government .380 and havent had any problems with the plastic guide rod. Night Sights would be nice. Cylinder & Slide will do that kind of work , but I called them once, and they had a wait time of several months.

I believe that was the thinking during the cold war, but when it ended, it seems the thinking did too.

Indy1500 gunshow in Indy isn't to bad. No beanie babies, and necklaces and stuff. I routinely see decent deals there and sometimes good ones too, but I have a fairly narrow list of things I'm looking to buy.

I would check the BATFE website. I think that "sporting firearms" can legally be imported, but you would have to find a dealer capable of importing it. Hope that helps a bit.

I agree with leadcounsel, an 870P with factory mag tube and either rifle sights or bead sights should MSRP way less than $800. I've last heard it was around $595. A few questions I would ask is; Who has a better warranty? Which model has better parts availability? Which one has the features...
