Trouble with a Gold Rush deluxe

I did put it up for sale here before, got a little interest but nothing solid. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=450709&highlight=gold+rush+deluxe I would let it go for $1000 shipped. I will certainly sell it, but I didn't really intend for this to be a for sale thread lol. Sorry...

Trouble with a Gold Rush deluxe

So, I've had this gun for about a year and I've been trying to sell it, but I can't find the right way to go about doing that. It's a Beretta Gold Rush deluxe, 45 Colt pump rifle modeled after the Colt Lightning. It's a beautiful gun and pretty fun, but also not cheap and definitely not...

    Uberti "charcoal" finishes

I want a 357 rifle in the charcoal finish, preferably an 1873 lever. I don't see these listed under the product info page at Cimarron or Uberti, so I'm wondering if they're still sold/available? I've not seen one on gunbroker in quite some time either. Thanks.

    Vaquero question

Haha, my computer was acting up. Another thing to mention is that the "New" vaquero does not have as heavy a frame as the "old" vaquero, meaning you can't shoot the same hot loads you could in the old ones (which, as was mentioned, came chambered in 44 too, while the New Vaq is not).

    Vaquero question

Yes, I have a new vaquero myself, and I'd say go for this unless your friend is looking for something closer to the SAA under the hood. The Ruger is safer and arguably "better" given what's already been said, but is not historically accurate, which is understandably important to some. My...

Accessory rails on a revolver - thumbs up or down?

I used to think these were ridiculous, like something you'd see photoshopped as a mockery. But...really, I've grown to like the looks and possible options of it. Tacticool or not, it could be fun. I have a fixed sight single action and it having the edge on the "practical" side is pushing it...

    Loads/ammo Vaquero

Well, in my 357 RNV, I like Blazer 158 gr, the clean version if it's available. I haven't had any trouble with anything out of Independence and Winchester either. Like the others have said, handloading is only advised if you just want to save money. There's considerably less steel on this than...

    My first Revolver

Is it any good? Only one of the best! From what I've owned/shot/read/heard, this is what I'd say: 1. (tie). Good condition pre-lock S&W models 1. (tie) 1950s-1970s Pythons 2. Any Ruger 3. New Smiths 4. Taurus This is excluding the really expensive stuff like Freedom Arms, though...

    "Independence" .357 ammo......????

I shoot Independence 357 in my NV. I'd say is comparable, if not a tiny bit better overall than ol' Wal Mart stuff.

    S&W PC 27-8, opinions?

Well, that'd be fine with me. It's just that having shot only single action guns, I was looking forward to making full use of all these silly things DA owners have to play with. :D

    S&W PC 27-8, opinions?

Anybody have any experience with these guns? They seem to be pretty rare and go for around 1k. S&W was selling them with old style Registered Magnum certificates. I think there were several variants... http://dust2dollars.com/S&W%20reg357.jpg This site has more pictures...

    CCI "trailblazer" cartridges

Are these not made anymore? I can't find any information on these at all, except for a few sites that sell them and an old press release from cci in 2005. They use the Speer Idaho Territory bullets and came in 38, 44 spl and 45 as far as I can tell, specifically made for CAS enthusiasts. Anybody...

    Grip style advice..

So, I'm getting some custom grips from Klamath River Woodworks and asked for pictures of his "KRW"/gunfighter style grip cut. It tapers down at the bottom to be much thinner than the standard Colt-style single action grip I'm more used to, but I could see the possible benefits. Any of you...

    News Report ignorance strikes again

I could only see Jennings guns useful in actual gang wars, where the 90 degree angle spread fire would be useful :D Seriously, I've shot one of those things. I couldn't hit an old barrel standing a few yards away. A 22 gun with no barrel. wow, very fearsome. I didn't watch the video, but I...

Funny Story about unusual CCW issues

The part that most makes this seem like a tall tale to me is how he recalled the name of every employee the owner yelled out to. And then, really, if movement in a guy's salad could be seen a table away, then the guy eating had to be paying no attention at all to his food and just blindly...

    True Bargain Stories

My uncle got a sweet .357 Dan Wesson that I've enjoyed shooting recently, believe it came with a holster. It's in mint condition basically, got it for $300 or so because the guy selling it thought that Dan Wesson was a ripoff of a S&W :D :D
