Thanks to everyone responding to my request. Those of you following the changes in are government aught to be prepared for what is yet to come.
To sell or not
At this point I wouldn't sell any gun. If the Dem's take over the white house it won't be long before all you guns become government property. If asked will you all hand them in? None of us southern folks will. Talk about the government creating felons.:fire:
Thread Originator
As I started this thread, I never realized how much interest and information I would be getting. I must commend all of you. This is one of the most informative sites I have ever visited. Thanks
I have heard of a Semi-Auto Hand Gun that is putting out a bullet @ over 2000fps. I presume it is some small caliber rifle bullet. Does anyone know what it is? Further, I just saw a movie called WAR with Jet Li and he was shooting a semi-auto that had a shell caseing that looked necked down to a...
Thanks to you all for the comments and info. The reason for my confusion was because on the Outdoor Channel I saw a so called expert load the ball over the powder and then a Wonderlub Pad. I'm thankfull that I have been loading the proper way.:)
I am a little confused. I have a Ruger Old Army and want to know the proper way of loading it. Is it Power then Wonder Wad then Ball or is it Powder then Ball then Wonder Wad? I have seen it done both ways.
Thanks for your reply. The rifle I am referring to is a model 70 30-06 Winchester. I just got back from the range and grouped 2 inches at 200 yards. I was wondering if changing the stock barrel seat would improve my shooting.
I want to seat my barrel to the stock. Have heard of two ways. 1 float the barrel by having only the receiver touch the stock. 2 Use epoxy to nest the barrel. Which is best and why?
I've heard two ways of fitting a rifle barrel to a stock. First there is the floating barrel were only the reciver touches the stock. Second is were epoxy is put in the stock and a release agent is applied to the barrel, then assemble.
What is the difference and which is better...
Common Sense
I believe in conservation and preservation within reason. The real problem is the lack of common sense. It's just not around anymore. You see the lack of it every day and everywhere.:cuss:
Keeping #11's Dry
Before I converted my BP rifle to 209 primers I used #11 caps. I live in SW Florida. Its hot it's humid and sometimes I hunt in the rain. I used to :D carry Q tips and Bore Butter to coat the cap after it was in place. Never had a misfire
I've read it all !!!
Seems to me you all should worry more about the anti gunners and less about the crap on BP guns. One more thing, I hunt to eat and if I can get it dun better with an inline so be it.:fire:
Wasp Nest
Wow, never thought I'd stir up so much controversy. First of all I've been hunting Deer over 45 years and have never lost one. I only take killing shots or they walk. My best friend shot and killed a deer at 60 yards with his Ruger using 43g of P. I intend to use mine from a box stand...
