    New powder numbers... hype?

I also have about 4 pounds of WAP left in the cupboard which I've used in all my pistol calibers from 380 to 480. I do like some of the newer stuff though. ZIP for 45 and Enforcer for 357. I still think WAP is the best 9mm powder going.

Any Bad Experiences w/ Sig or S&W 1911s?

I have a Sig Scorpion (5") and a S&W round butt Series E scandium frame Commander. Both pistols have been 100% through approximately 300 round each, with the exception of a few failed to lock open on the last round in the Sig. I have replaced its mags with Chip McCormick 8-round power mags and...

Which auto loader has the worst trigger?

The Ruger LC9 has the worst trigger of any pistol I've ever fired --including Kel Tecs.

Are Glocks really less accurate than XD's?

Both of the manufacturer's pistols are primarily service pistols, not target pistols. My Glock 30SF, Glock 21, Springer XD9SC, XD9 Service and XD45 Tactical are each capable of shooting better than I can hold. None of them shoot better than my 4"-6" revolvers. My XD triggers feel better to me...

Putting a small LED on Lee Classic Turret Press

Find someone handy with a soldering iron (if you're not) and have them pull the LED out of one of the small flashlights and solder it on a foot or two of wire inside some shrink tubing, back to the flashlight. You'll then be able to tape the LED on one of the riser legs of the press and aim it...

whats wrong with my 45auto loads?

I believe Ridgway probably hit it. I can run most of my handgun rounds across my Chrony at 6 to 8 feet away, but I need to back off about 12 feet with my 45s to get consistent numbers.

    Taurus TCP range report

MillCreek - Sorry to be so late answering. The Wheeling, WV Cabela's charged $329 for the stainless TCP. I'm not sure about the LCP, but the TCP was less expensive. I was going to go home and order one from Bud's, but you know how it is when you have what you want in your hands... ;-)

    PD Ammo in .380

I'm using the new Winchester PDX-1 95gr JHP rounds for carry. They shoot well in the TCP.

    Taurus TCP range report

My friend and I stopped in Cabela's last week. We were looking to buy a pair of LCPs. Fortunately, they had some of the Taurus 738 TCPs there. After handling the LCP, KelTec and TCP, there was no questions which was the more favorable pistol. Comparatively, the TCP trigger is really, really...

CCW allowed in some National Parks...

Be careful when concealed carrying becomes legal in the parks. Excerpt from AP story: If that's so, it could conceiveably be illegal to carry into a bathroom or one of those lean-to sheds where they have displays, maps and notices hanging.

    Electronic Scales

My very old 5-0-5 is adequate for my needs, and I've never found the need to use an electronic scale. That said, I wouldn't mind having an RCBS Chargemaster combo. ;) p.s. NICE user-name!

    Primer shortage...?

Just picked up a brick of CCI SP at the local Wally World. No shortage there. (I'd prefer to buy them at the local gun shops, but they either don't carry them or charge outrageous prices-over $4 per hundred.)
