Hi Guys,
I called Ruger and according to th S/N it was made in Oct 2004.
I guess one of the first ones made. If I could sell it to someone besides a dealer I would but I live in Mass and you can't buy, send or anything to do with guns besides with dealers. Massachusetts rules really suck...
FTE
Thank you very much for the explanation. Mine doesn't FTE it just jamn's trying to load like it get cought in the slide. But like I said Ruger re-worked the whole dang thing and I have tried many different ammo's. One more try Saturday and if it jamns it's going back on the block for sale...
BobCav,
I am a woman and am 5'7" and @195 to 200lbs. A couple guys at my range say I might have a weak wrist. So I guess I blow off the rest of the ammo and then turn it in back to the shop to be sold. I have extra mags if you are interested, I will sell them cheap. Two are still in the...
Thank you Bpisler,
The manual states placing large end in the slide, uh duh, isn't the whole piece the slide? I have had this gun sent back to Ruger and they replaced about 4 parts and also retooled one part. The very first time I shot it it jammed. I am thinking about turning it in...
Ruger KP345PR
I own a Ruger KP345PR and in the instructuctions for field stripping is pretty clear cut but when I reassemble it the manual states to have the large end of the spring in the slide. Does that mean the large end goes towards the bore or towards the trigger. Any help I can get with...
I think I am going to head off to the range and shoot me some mean paper targets :D
It certainly gets out any anger that you have. When I leave there, people can cut me off on the road, my dogs can tear apart the house but I come home so destressed it is unbelievable. I LOVE MY GUNS...
Dave,
Sounds like a good idea. I will definitely look into it! I could put all the different holsters that I bought off of E-Bay that were either wrong fit for my guns or others that were just stupid buys like the ankle holster that I can't figure out how it goes on. You must have to...
Lee Hand Press
Thank you all for the info. I bought the Lee Hand Press and all the other stuff last night before I read this forum. I bought exactly what .41Dave has posted links to. The price seemed reasonable. I didn't even think about selling it on E-Bay. Would the brass have to be cleaned...
So this jerk I talked to is probably going to rake me over the coals and keep the profit since he quoted $1.10/lb and said I had to remove all primers.
Newbie
I just got my LTC a month ago and already have 2 pistols and 1 revolver. I have basically gone way into debt for this new addiction. I love my revolver.
S & W model 60 2-1/8 barrel. That's my carry, my other's are a .45ACP Ruger and a S & W model 908 9mm. Love my weapons and be damned...
Salvage
Thank you very much V-Fib,
I just called this one place because it is only a couple of minutes away and figured with the price of gas if I drove 20-30 miles for another salvage place it would basically eliminate any profit.
Bohdi
Thank you all
I will check out other salvage companies, this one acted like he was looking it up from a book. some of the primers themselves look to be brass. I wonder if he expects me to remove those primers too. He said "Casings Only". Not a pleasant man but maybe because I am a woman he may...
Primer Press
Do you happen to know approx. how much a press costs? I belong to a gun club and I can take any brass that has not been swept up yet and I am on disability and trying to make some extra money. The salvage company told me that they are paying $1.10 or so for brass casings but they...
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a way to remove primers from brass casings without the use of a press. Can a punch and hammer do it?
Thank in advance,
Bohdi
