I've got 4 MAS 36's. They were not in as nice condition as the ones pictured,but they were reaql cheap. Think they were $36 each plus shipping. Ordered 4 thinking I would be able to put 2 shooters together. Well got 4 good shooters out of the deal.

NDS is top of the line for AK receivers. If you want to be able to build in the future, "roll your own". Gather the needed tooling and jigs over time to fold them. Get your kits NOW!!!!! G2 FCG is the standard for "internals". Red Star adjustable for @ 3 x's the price.

I just picked up a Tula TOZ-78. Shoots great with irons,so good I will drop on some glass to see what it's really going to do. Price is cheap for a free floated barrel and an adj. trigger.

A PSL is not an SVD. Two different weapons. +1 on the optic link.

For the rear band,try pushing the upper handguard rearward. Looks like the handguard is traveling with the band. For the front one,use a punch in the "band retainer hole", and tap it foward with chunk of scrap wood.

They are good little guns. I will say,don't make one a "trunk gun" in the summer!!!!! Might hold up better in an ATI stock,but the OEM one gets "very soft" from the heat.

Do you have the right size? I use them for a fast clean, but more for oiling the bore after a good cleaning.

Look for a wasr-22. It's for the most part a normal AK type,just in .22LR.

G2's are a great upgrade over a "Century" set. They can be "smoothed" up rather nice also. Most of my AK's have G2's,but don't forget about a RedStar group!! ;)

Short of .22LR, 5.45x39 and 7.62x54R are by far the cheapest. Bought both in December for $0.12 a round to my door.

I've owned Stag,CMMG,Double Star,Bushmaster,Oly Arms. They all worked just fine. CMMG had the nicest finish.
