    Uberti 1875 Outlaw fouling issues

Gary, i don't think Uberti outlaw is only for black powder cartridge, i have one in 44/40 and i reload my round with smokeless, black powder in this revolver is good but not the only "fuel" you can load! Look the marks if you find a "PSF" mark go quite with smokeless too:) Rusty

    Need help with rifle selection

A "normal" Pedersoli tryon, that i use for match, with 1:48 twist, with a .445 round ball, a 0,01 patch, and 37 grains of FFFg, can make a single hole of 1" at 50mt with 10 shot, with the rifle on the rest, offhands depends only from you:) This make it a good match rifle, not intended for hunt...

    Black Powder Bullets for .45-70?

For a rifle a 500 grains flat base, for a carbine a 405 grains, good the lee HB. Lubed with "Lyman black powder gold" or a home made recipe grease of the same consistancy, a soft lube with hot weather can contaminate the powder charge. A cardboard wad over the powder is good. With a drop tube...

Factory BP Ammo for 1873 Springfield?

No no, absolutely no, i talk about the shell, not the rifle muzzle, a 45/70 shell can be reloaded by hand if you use it with black powder in a single shot rifle like trapdoor or sharp, i have seen people win a match with a hand reloading. The only breech loading rifle you can reload safe from...

    modern cleaners

I made a glass bed under the tang in all my .58 musket, and a paper bed under the barrel band, everthings must be lock and don't shatter for good accuracy, but sometimes this way doesn't work for some "costruction bug" in the rifle, and the only way is to sell it to someone that need for wall...

Factory BP Ammo for 1873 Springfield?

Reload the .45/70 for a single shot can be made also without a press and dies The only thing you need is a manual primer. Once your first set of ammo are fired and formed in your rifle you can reload it like a muzzleloader in the brass:) I started to reload years ago for a H&R trapdoor '73...

    modern cleaners

Doesn't take your barrel out of stock, in this musket you can compromise the accuracy, take an old nipple and drilled it to enlarge the hole, for cleaning action set this nipple on the barrel and a small rubber hose from nipple to a bucket of hot water, clean the barrel with a jag with tight...
