My LGS has Guns They WONT Sell Me

Firearms manufacturers are businessmen first and foremost and the LEO community represents a big market for these companies. Glock has a pretty good hold on the US LE community right now so other brands have to figure out ways to generate interest and sales within that community; special pricing...

How long is your recent form 1 or 4 taking to to pending?

Guys he's asking how long to pending, not the whole transfer. I don't know how well I can answer cause I didn't mail the forms and don't trust my dealer enough to think he mailed them right away, but my dealer had my completed Form 4 in his hands October 22nd of last year and I went pending...

A Great Suggestion for a Ruger MK II or III Takedown and Reassembly

You have to do it a few times in a row for it to stick; if this opereation is something you attempt every few months you won't remember. +1 on the myth of difficulty reassembling these guys. A couple weeks ago I brought my 22/45 with me to the range and the herd of halfwits behind the counter...

Why are the Ruger MK ll 22 pistols all gone

Again, the culprit was the metal part of the LCI which, in some rare cases, would allow the gun to fire if dropped on that side of the pistol. That metal part was replaced with a plastic contraption (don't know the inner workings of the LCI, that's the best I can do) and walla, problem solved...

Why are the Ruger MK ll 22 pistols all gone

Not exactly true. Early models sported an LCI with a metal piece that could in fact allow for a discharge if dropped but they fixed that a long time ago. I've had lots of experience with both MKIIs and IIIs and those experiences have put me in the "who cares" camp. Defensive pistols sure...

    Like they should be.

    9+ months really???

Well, considering the original intent of NFA 34 was a practical ban using congress's ability to tax as a work around, I don't think anyone really considered an easier process for double plus dippers. Process reform is something I hope organizations like the ASA are pushing. Hell, just hiring...

    9+ months really???

No no no, they only had the forms for 191, er 192 days now. That initial wait was from my dealer actually getting the damn can in to START the torturous transfer process... And what did we learn kiddies? Never never NEVER put money down on a can that isn't in stock, either directly from the...

    Solvent trap adapters

I guess my only issue with it's cited intended purpose is just how unnecessary it seems. If I'm not an idiot that day:D and I'm pushing patches thru with a jag I just point the barrel at a garbage can, way easier than attaching all that crap to the end of a barrel. Which of course leads me to...

    9+ months really???

Let's see; 178 days since pending. 191 days since check cashed. 382 days since paying for it and expecting it to arrive three weeks later! Still waiting, waiting, waiting...:banghead:

    Uberti 1873 Stallion-.22lr/wmr??

Do you guys mind me asking the typical street price range for these, none of the regular standbys seem to have any in stock? I'm with ya Tophernj on the single action 22s, seem like a blast!

    scary gun tech

I'll have it in my gun when the police have it in theirs. What's the proper clearing drill when my gun picks up a Mexican radio station instead of firing?

    Uberti 1873 Stallion-.22lr/wmr??

I saw one of these for the first time today on Armslist and was intrigued. Built to be a shooter, huh, what does that mean? Closer to the Rough Rider or Single Six side of things?

UPS driver's advice on shipping firearms

Great! Now if I could only get the goon who works the counter at the local UPS hub to understand this we'd be all set!:cuss: still mad

Higher End, non target style, 22lr. Help me decide

I don't find the S&W M&P 22 nicer than the GSG 1911 for starters, bout the same in my mind. The aforementioned Berettas are the bee's knees and I'd love to have any one of those. Something not mentioned yet are the S&W 422. Not in production anymore but man do those look cool!

    Anyone practice with Airsoft pistols?

You know, I was thinking the same thing today as well. I stopped by the local Farm and Fleet to see what they had by the way of ammo and saw a couple handguns, a 1911 and a Walther P99 specifically, that looked like they could be pretty fun. I'm just not sure they're fun enough for the near 100...

    Need help selling a T.C. 7mm TCU

For a handgun that's cheap, but like you said your dealer handles it. I've tried and tried but I cannot get anyone local to me, even the transfer dealers I do a ton of business with, to ship for me. I just sent a Beretta Bobcat one state over to Minnesota today, guess how much? 70 bucks...

    Need help selling a T.C. 7mm TCU

Thanks Jon! I was thinking that it might make it easier to sell the frame separate from the barrel. Looking through those GB actions the only thing I don't understand is how some of these non-licensees are getting away with the cheapo shipping on the frames as they should still be considered...

    Need help selling a T.C. 7mm TCU

My dad used to shoot competition back in the 80's and was sold on the 7mm TCU as an excellent flat shooting cartridge for that sport. He's all done with that now and asked me to help him sell it. Problem is I have no idea where to begin on a handgun chambered in a wildcat cartridge. It's a...

    Remington Golden Bullet Squib

I've had similarly bad experiences with Remington ammo both rimfire and centerfire cartridges, enough to keep me from buying any more, but never anything as bad as a squib. This was a relatively new box, as in it was probably produced in the heart of this ammo shortage we're experiencing, right...
