I went out shooting, practicing drills with a good friend of mine. We were shooting his Tantal and a Bulgarian style AK. We were having bullets tumbling into the paper at 15 feet. I believe we were shooting russian or bulgarian. I wasn't impressed, but it make traing ammo.

I just picked up a bobbed hammer 3 inch M13 for $230 two weeks ago. This week it was a near mint 17-4 with box, cleaning kit, etc. for $400.

Sometimes variances in the silicon content of steel can cause the part to turn plum after bluing. This doesn't just happen with cast steel parts, but is more prevalent in cast steel.

Regular ruger blackhawk grips won't fit the Anniversary models. They have an old style XR3 gripframe which is similar to a Colt SAA (smaller than the XR3red, and made of steel). I haven't seen any XR3 grips for sale for a while. You'll probably have to go custom to get what you want.

I could argue favorite grip frames all day, but the best gripframe for handling any kind of magnum recoil is the Ruger Bisley gripframe with custom grips. They will however, require you to also install a Bisley hammer and trigger.

As long as both are new model parts. (new model gripframe-new model cylinder frame). Probably take A LOT of filing and polishing to get them to mate up flush. I've fitted a ton of gripframes. It ain't no fun. Not to complicated, just a bugger sometimes.

I just finalized the trip and the funds to procure the receiver last week. Building the FAL was an afterthought for the trip. Figured I'd kill two birds with one stone, visiting family/access to an awesome gunsmithing shop.

I don't have a noob story. I was taught how to work a 1911 and a Mini-14 at age 6. I've been a total gun nut since about 10-12 yrs/old. Got a my first handgun a Colt Python at 15, at 16 I was building a custom AR-15 and custom 1911 with money made from stocking groceries.

I almost agree with Ala Dan, cept I made $100 profit on the last used G19 I sold. Only sell if you will: A. get your gun money back out of it to buy more guns B. Make a profit on it to buy more guns or gunstuff. I try to always roll my money from selling and trading back into my hobby.
