Excellent message. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of putting the FAL next to an M1A; functionally identical but the FAL looks "scarier". I know at least one (former) anti gunner revised her opinion of so-called assault rifles after that.

I'll use the empty casing then, thanks. its not for when the range is clear (I would case it in that event) but for while I set it down for loading magazines, etc. rangerruck, it does not appear to have any slide lock mechanism or hole at all.

Apologies if this is the wrong place... I recently acquired an AMT backup in .45. Its the only gun I own that the slide doesn't lock back. So when at the range, how do I show that its clear? just case it when not in use? or is there another technique? thanks,

Unfortunately, it does vary greatly by state. Federally, you cannot sell any guns across state lines(unless to an FFL), nor to anyone you have reason to believe is a prohibited person/non-resident of your state. however, many states have other rules. In MD its illegal to sell a pistol or...

Unless use of the work is covered under "fair use", it's copyright infringement, even if due credit is given. I can't recall where I saw this, but I believe if a story published online has an "email this story" link, or something similar, it is legal to post it to forums and the like. If not...

talldean; something else to keep in mind, b/c of MD's **** "ballistic fingerprinting" law, you may not be able to have the pistol transfered to you unless the MSP has a shell casing on file for it. I could be mistaken, but I'd talk to an FFL before you commit to anything with the buyer...
