Knives are things of absolute beauty. This beauty cannot be denied by
anyone who thinks seriously about the subject, and/or who appreciates
form, function, and aesthetics of any object.
Knives are among mankind's oldest and most valuable discoveries and the
appreciation of knives in...

Having scrolled back to read post #22 in this thread, I chuckled and I
totally agree.
I wouldn't be surprised if most Joe Sixers who fill tags every year can shoot
far better than many trained, allegedly, and so-called ahem, "snipers".
.
People make strange choices in how they spend their money. Its like the
guy who spends $4000 on an amp but $1000 on speakers. There really is
no explaining it.
Your friend must be rich. $4400 for an AR type rifle? :scrutiny:
The words "head....examined" spring to mind. What I...

That pic is hilarious. It looks like moron #1 is about to shoot moron #2 right
in his, ahem, yeah...
As to the gun store idiot - once you identify an idiot, stay away!!

I have an old (?) Ithaca 37 in 12 guage.
I don't know how old it is, but the pump is well pitted and most of the blue

Is there a way I can figure out how old it is based on the serial # ??

I wouldn't listen to anyone who says 30-30 is "underpowered".
Those folks would recommend a .416 Rigby for Maine deer.
Most deer (likely) don't weigh more than you do. Would you go down to a
boiler-room shot from a good 30-30 round?

As a Wyoming resident, I have to say that doesn't really make much sense.
Nebraska, Idaho, and Colorado no longer honored ? I'm not sure I understand
exactly what Wyoming is attempting to accomplish by not accepting these
neighbor states. Also, it is odd to me that half of the states...

I don't understand the 30 round Glock mag, at least for defense anyway.
It would be a blast at the range though. Would it fit in a model 26 I wonder ?
.
I would get a Glock 19.
It is the single most comfortable and balanced pistol of any kind or caliber
that I have ever held and shot. In my opinion, it is a masterpiece; a best
of breed item. It points and shoots like no other. And I don't even own one.
.
My thoughts exactly. An inanimate object cannot be tactical. It may
however be used tactically. Its the user that lends a tactical
advantage to the gun, not the other way around.
:)

I'll echo the suggestion of a .44 magnum lever action. Pistol round lever guns
are *so very much fun* and the recoil is nearly non-existant. If I were in your
situation, though, I would go for a traditional .243 rifle with a wood stock and
heavy barrel. You can reach out further and a...
