    .380 ammo for sd

I believe Rex B is thinking of Corbon DPX. I don't really worry myself with .380 ballistic tests. If you're carrying a .380, you're already well aware that you have armed yourself with a smallish caliber. Instead I focus on a good quality round that I can shoot well with. I don't have the...

Are any of the Kel-Tec models "fun" to shoot?

I have the same issue! I go home from the range with the thumb joint of my right hand beet red. I don't really find the gun that much fun to shoot.

Is everything an Assault Rifle now?

I just watched this new show on Spike called DEA. They are following around some DEA guys in Detroit and, as can be expected, the show is overly dramatic. I still found it mildly entertaining. In one of their raids, they kept stressing that the dealer had a pistol and how dangerous she could...

    Educate me on Kel-Tecs

I love my P11. It fit all the requirements I had when I purchased it. I wanted a light, small, 9mm pistol that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. After reading all the iffy statements about KT firearms, I half expected to get a lemon (I bought mine used). I have since fired maybe 700 rounds...

    Holster Recommendations - CCW Kel-Tec P11

I carry my P11 in an IWB UBG holster. http://www.ubgholsters.com/ Good quality leather IMO although I'm not really an expert. This holster + a good belt makes for a nice carry.

    1911 - 2nd chance?

My $390 Rock Island Armory 1911 has ate thousands of rounds of ammo without any more of a problem than a weak recoil spring which I remedied with a new Wolff spring. I only use Chip McCormick mags which do make a difference. The included Novak mag worked well but cheaper no-name mags are sort of...

Say what you will about Gander Moutain...

Not really related.. but I was in GM last night and watched a "gun guy" get handed a gun, not check it for clear, and the proceed to point it at the clerk, at himself, and sweep everyone else at the counter with it. I wish they would stop showing guns to idiots like that. I've found a few good...

So I just got my C&R

I've had a C&R for at least a year now and I've never purchased a firearm with it. But it sure saved me a ton of money at Midway and Brownells! I've probably saved enough on gun accessories and reloading equipment to make it worth my while 5 times over.

I got my new CCW permit

Like everyone else has said.. you need a good belt and my suggestion is to grab an Uncle Mike's Instructor belt. It's < $30 from Midway and it has a poly insert to keep it stiff. If you're not in a situation where you need a nice looking leather belt, it's probably the most cost effective belt...

    Want feedback on CZ83 .380

A friend of mine has one and I've had the pleasure of sending a few rounds down range with it. It's a very easy gun to shoot and quite accurate.

    pocket gun

I haven't tried to pocket carry my P11 but it seems a tad bit big for that? I've dropped it in my cargo pocket once but without a holster to keep it situated, I found it very uncomfortable and it printed a bit more than I wanted. Got any pictures of what you carry it in? To be a little more...

    Holster for Kel-tec P-40?

I'm not laughing.. I love my P-11. I'd like to get a P-40 in my collection one day. I second UBG. I have a UBG IWB for my P11 and it's great.

I never truly thought it would happen, but it did.

This thread made me look for more of Mr EoTech's posts.:D I would recommend not sleeping with a gun in your hand when you're with your first, second, or possibly third wife. And especially not with 10-20 children running around the house. ;)

    Cheap 1911

I love my Rock Island Armory 1911. I've seen them still going for $379 range at gun shows around my area. Depending on where you are, that's either a good price or too high. I had some issues at first due to what appeared to be a weak recoil spring and poor choice of cheap magazines (my fault)...

How often do you takedown your ruger .22?

I try to avoid it but looking in the gritty dirty chamber after only a couple hundred rounds usually makes me do something. Really, the re-assembly isn't _that_ hard but it is definitely something you gotta get used to. I find that I have to refer back to the manual when I do get around to...

    Kel-tec

I just picked up a P11 and it shoots great. Well.. the act of shooting anyway, the person behind the gun needs some serious range time to get used to DAO. My accuracy isn't anything to brag about with other guns, but with this thing, my first 2 range trips have been horrid. ;) It also seems...

Rem 115gr Standard Pressure Water + Denim Test

I don't know what the chances are of this. I just bought a box of these this morning and decided to head to THR to find a review. I was shocked to find this thread on the first page. :D Thank you so much for your research.

Lock up guns, but don't ban them-USA Today

I just had a bit of fun with this on my new blog (shameless plug). My observations... Take a look at that. Bob clearly blames the GUN for what it does. But when drunk driving is brought into the picture, he blames the person, not the car. Hmmm.. so who has the anti-gunner rule book...

    another post apocalyptic zombie story

I'm enjoying this story.. needs some polishing as people have pointed out but since I assume you're writing each chapter and posting it as soon as you're done, you're doing great. I really enjoy the point in time where you chose to start the story as well. Keep it up!

Help me with RIA 1911 .45ACP

I've owned a plain jane RIA 1911 for the past 8 or 9 months. I guess if you shook it like crazy it would rattle a tiny bit but it's a very solid gun. I had some issues at first with FTF but I blame using cheapo mags and the recoil spring for that. Once I bought a few Chip McCormick mags and...
