A local dealer wanted $1200 for the standard mp15 model and $1100 for the ORC model, I thought that was a bit much. I thought these things go for around $700 simething,, or perhaps those are the sports model?

How is the parts availability? Last time I checked they were around 800 bucks in the area. With that much dough, that puts it in the sig/hk prices in my area. And I couldn't find a shop that has one in stock either.

I tried once, shot one round of 45 without ear plugs. Never again! The ear muffs are not comfortable, if you don't like using those muffs, as I don't like those either, use those simple ear plugs.

No problem with polymer MSH on my Custom II. It doesn't really do anything other than hold the main spring. I have zero troubles with my all polymer frame HK and Glock :D

I have the Hogue side panels grips on my P226, I don't have the wrap around. It's not too bad, it does make it easier to shoot since it's more grippy.

trade it in for an HK, same safety position and style, you just might like it.

I have guns with mag disconnect and grip safety. I never had any problems with them.

He could do that, ask the people who bought it YEARS ago and no longer have the pistol and their opinions that no longer matter; or you could ask people who bought Kimber recently.
