The best combat 9mm in your opinion

Sig P229 - built like a .40, but chambered in 9mm. Utterly reliable, accurate to 50 yards, you can shoot it all day long, and it'll go at least 100k rounds on original parts.

Is The Taurus 4510 "Judge" a good defense weapon

I just realized that I just said that on a revolver forum. Whoops.

Is The Taurus 4510 "Judge" a good defense weapon

I'd argue you should aim your baseball bat too. :D Really, I think if you're thinking "Judge", and you're thinking "home defense", it's time to buy a nice used remington slide action shotgun and a few boxes of 00 buckshot. Effective, easy, and much more of an intuitive aimer.

What do you carry when you can't carry?

Caution on the pepper spray - there's a reason they make cops get pepper sprayed before they carry it. Some people are rather immune to it, most people have the intended effect, and some people take especially poorly to it. Good to know what category you're in. Backspray is probable...

Which 9mm fmj would you choose?

How about reloads with Ranier copper plated bullets? These are essnetially soft lead bullets with a copper plating - they look like FMJ and qualify as FMJ for most indoor ranges, but are much softer. Here's a link example...

How do you carry a full sized pistol?

Cover garments really can help. Sport coats. Flannel shirts. Dare I say "vests" (if you can pull one off).

    Does This Gun Exist?

Had to look real hard to see the printing. I usually carry a firearm rather larger than I should be able to conceal, and I found that for me, the nature of the shirt is the most important factor. Plaid or paisley shirts, for example, have patterns and lines that break up the outline of any...

What do you carry when you can't carry?

Generally I find that when I can't carry I can't carry a knife or alternate tool either. So it's a very bright surefire and my sturdy set of keys. Ever had a surefire shined in your eyes at close range at night? It's wild, man. Good for 3 or 4 seconds play room.

    Witness Intimidation

Generally, in my experience, detectives love witness intimidation cases.

    Don't print on purpose!

Treo, I think the cop cautioned you appropriately. The problem with road rage is that the presumption of everyone (including 12 peers) is that road rage is the result of mutual escalation, to some degree. After a mutual escalation, you have a duty to attempt retreat (if there is time and...

Would you shoot through the door?

If they're still outside the door, they're just scary. Not yet a threat requiring lethal force.

    Ejecting a live round?

I hardly ever unload - but when I do, the slide is racked firmly, using the same hand positions I always use, and the round flies a short distance and hits the floor. After I've checked the gun (look feel look feel) I can recover the round. At the range the round is sometimes lost into the...

Hardcast bullets - what's the problem

Don't some indoor ranges prohibit all non-jacketed bullets? That's be a good reason to sell jacketed versions. Like ranier's copper-washed bullets, for example. Looks yellow. Must be good.

    Why buy a .38special?

Just bought my first revolver today. In 38. In fact, it's not even +P. Why buy a 357 when I know it will never ever see a 357 through it? Or, for that matter, a 38 +P?

    3" barrel fans speak up

Haha, I just bought my first revolver today - a brand new Taurus 85 in Stainless Steel... 3 inch barrel. It's a beaut. 5 shot, 38 special (although sans the +P rating). I was looking for a revolver for my wife, and the snubbies were all too small and too light, and the 4 inchers seemed...
