Moving to Washington State, need help with pro-gun location

That means you move to central or eastern Washington. The Cascade mountain range changes the climate completely as you move eastward from the coast. To "leadcounsel": Puyallup is not a bad area if you have to commute to Fort Lewis. There are many good gun stores within striking distance...

    Sons of Guns

Yup, those were 2 differentThompsons as seen by the barrel length on each. And my buddy, who is rather experienced with Tommy guns as a result of spending 40-plus years living a 30 minute drive from Knob Creek, noticed that the long barrelled one had a non-removable stock and the shorter (SMG)...

    Sons of Guns

Yeah, that sure rubbed me the wrong way. But, as pointed out earlier in this thread, the whole show is edited, chopped, messed with and edited some more. Basically, we have no idea of what really happened in any scene. We only know what the producer left in, to make his show his way in...

    Colt 30 Luger

Bit confused here..... Was this intended to be a fallaciously hypothetical depiction of a cartridge that never existed? Or am I about to learn of a round that was only sold in the upriver regions of the Austro-Hungarian Carpathian Mountanis? Bart Noir

Defense Tech: Army (might) Abandon "Leap" for M4 Replacement

Marcus, I did enjoy that slide show you linked to. But the "historical" section sure had some mistakes in it! Yeah, sure, all those thousands of Spencer carbines were not actually being used by the Federal Cavalry who carried them???? So the US troops didn't have any Trapdoors in Cuba...

    Calling all Taurus 905 Owners ! ! !

For some crazy reason I want a 905. Maybe to test ag'in my S&W 940 :D Were the earlier ones on a shorter frame, a .22 length frame versus a .38 length frame? I was seriously shopping a few weeks ago once I heard that a local shop had a new 905. It turned out to have the .38 length frame...

Defense Tech: Army (might) Abandon "Leap" for M4 Replacement

Hey Nolo, the Grumman Avenger was a darn-good aircraft! So strong there are still some earning a living as water-bombers. The nerve, picking on the Avenger...... Bart Noir

If you shoot a Mauser, check this out.

Don't you have trouble centering the front sight in that big rear aperature? I mean, if you took the normal rear sight and opened up the notch until it was as wide as the Mojo, you couldn't shoot tight group anymore, to my way of thinking. Then again, I haven't tried it. Bart Noir

Keltec announces RFB ship date (again)

Come on, it's ..not...that...ugly. Bart Noir Who says ugly is neatly captured in that Frenchy bullpup....

    Microtech Arms STG-556, thoughts????

Just to muddy the waters for you, there is another company (in Oregon) just starting to build similar weapons that use M16 magazines. http://www.tpdusa.com/index.php And a thread in another forum has lots of info from this company: http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=4394...

Another CCW was needed and all ended well

I like it! But why carry a PPK/S with the safety on? Isn't that long hard trigger pull enough of a safety? Bart Noir

    Finally bought an AK.

OK, the sights... The orange on that front sight is from a previous owner, naturally. The front and rear flip-ups did not have tritium vials. They match my rifle, which has flip-ups that are too thin for the vials. In Yugo service, those dimples in the flip-ups had some sort of high...

For Those Who Carry in Oklahoma...

Uh, bad vibes starting to occur.... Last time I was in Kansas, they didn't have any lawful concealed carry for those who need it most. Which is those of us who are not police officers. Has that changed? Bart Noir

Closer to moving from CA to Portland area

Being a WA resident I really outta keep away from this thread :D but the truth is that I envy those who live in a state that allows full auto weapons. WA does not and I believe OR does allow this. Am I right? Bart Noir Who might go broke(r) if he could buy full-auto weapons.

    Seattle Area Gun Dealers

MillCreek, they (SNS) sometimes have a table at the Monroe WAC gunshow. Not sure about Puyallup. And nobody mentioned Sam's Gun Shop on Airport Road in south Everett ??? It will be very close to his place of work. But I cannot tell you the transfer fee. It might be discounted if you...

What would you choose 92fs or PX4?

Without question, the Px4 has the better trigger. But the safety levers are smaller. That's good for concealment, bad for fast use, should you carry "on safe". Fit to the hand is a very personal choice. The Px4 is mighty simple internally, I don't see how somebody can consider the 92...

$350 to spend for 9mm - Stoeger Cougar? FNP-9? What?

I have the Stoeger Cougar and it is a fine gun. If you like the Beretta 92 trigger and safety, the Cougar will be like an old friend. But it uses the rotating barrel and I believe that softens the "perceived" recoil. It just doesn't whip the muzzle up as much, as it seems to just push back in...

Trijcon Nights Sights vs. TruGlo Fiber Optic Sights

The posts in April were about about TruGlo. Wonder how long it took Johnie to get his slide back. Johnie, you reading this? Bart Noir
