It would interest me to know, of those killed on duty, how many were working on criminal investigations (acts with complaining victims - murder, robbery, arson, etc.) as opposed to vice (no complaining victim - drugs, gambling, prostitution, etc.).

I agree with those that say that, to be consistent, one must either oppose all state licensing or accept it. State licensing represents a government official deciding what you may do. I oppose it.

Because I consider any legislation "unjust" that allows one class of citizens to do something that is forbidden to other classes. For instance, state-licensed pharmacists can "profit" from the sales of opiates. Police can carry guns openly near the president.
