Back when I was looking for a hunting 44 I wanted the red hawk that you speak of. It was not meant to be though. A night after work I stopped in my local shop and he had a used 629 classic in mint shape for $500. Here in MD for hunting you have to have a 6"+ barrel, so went longer. Added a scope...
Is it ever time to sell a pistol? I hear some guys say “never” sell a gun. I have been thinking about it lately because there are some guns that I would really like to have or at least try out for a while but funds limit putting out more money. Most of my gun allowance goes to reloading. Here is...
Think about build an AR off of a spikes lower or receiver combo. But I have a few questions.
1, What (if any) is the advantage to a billet receiver?
2, Are the billet receivers worth the several hundred extra dollars?
3, Spikes claims they "no punch tool assembly" what does that mean?

I was looking into steel target a few weeks ago and just couldn't understand why the large ones where so expensive. I had my brother who works at the local dock yard cut me a foot square of ar500 3/4 thick for free. I haven't got to shoot it yet. Im planning on it this weekend at 200 and 300...

a big tub of H110 or the like and some good brass and you should be good for a while. 500s are alot of fun! Enjoy!
I've been working on this same home protection issue and decided that the only real solution to for me to get a supressor for my 1911 or BHP. Its not a cheap route but I think it will be the best.
I have a 10" BFR in 500 and love to shoot it. I like the BFR because it doesn’t have that absurd brake on the end like the smiths. Recoil is not bad at all and I can usually shoot through more than 50 rounds without any flinching, but it does taking some practice. I try to stay away from...
Cool. My dad has one of those old 30-30 bolts. I never knew of anyone else who had one. He used to it hunt alot untill he got to old to use the iron sights and now uses a rifle with a nice scope. Maybe some day he'll see it in his heart to give it to me.....
Cool gun and story!
I think I might stop tonight and see if he still has it in his case. Its a samll shop that not alot of people visit so it might still be there. Maybe I'll get some numbers off it and see what I can find. (maybe RC can help me).......
