    Magazine question

I purchased an extra mag for my P239 the other night. When I took it out of the plastic bag, it seems to be covered in what I'm assuming is some sort of preservative. It's about the consistency of Vaseline. Forgive me if this is a dumb question but ... what do I use to clean this up?

    El Paso Saddlery Company

Thanks, y'all. I ordered the Double Agent plain. I gave serious thought to the basket weave pattern because I think it's awfully sharp looking. In the end, though, I like clean simple lines. Perhaps one day when I have a "dress gun" I'll get something ornate, but until then, I'm looking for...

    El Paso Saddlery Company

I kind of gathered a long wait was fairly standard for the higher quality stuff. I'm in no hurry.

    El Paso Saddlery Company

Thanks, Ezypikns. They look spectacular, but it's hard to judge function on the Internet. I do like the idea of being able to switch it over to cross draw when I make that long drive from Minneapolis to San Antonio and back.

I'm considering ordering the Double Agent Dual Position Holster from El Paso Saddlery Co. Does anyone have any experience with them or with that particular holster specifically?

    Handgun selection

Thanks, AK. And yeah. I made a conscious decision recently that it was shameful that I reached the age I am without owning any firearms. Instead of waiting to inherit, I've decided to purchase, at least, a pistol, rifle and shotgun. I've got the pistol out of the way.

    CSI Miami Pistol Stance

Now, I'm new to handguns. Just recently bought my first after thinking about it for years. Anyway, in the Permit to Carry class I just took, the instructors submitted that the Horatio Caine stance was a viable stance to keep your pistol close to your body so that it would be harder to be...

    There's no such thing as a P225

If you have a Gander Mountain in your area, they're selling them for $399 right now.

    Handgun selection

Thanks, AK. I was looking at those Houge grips, myself. There are three reasons I'm reconsidering. 1) The extra rounds. (yes, yes, I know, if I need more than 7 rounds, I'm in way over my head!) 2) The vast availability and variety of holsters, etc. compared to the P239 and 3) I'm...

    Handgun selection

I've recently purchased a Sig p239 in .40 S&W. However, now I'm wondering if I purchased the wrong Sig. My initial concern was my smallish hands. However, I don't think the p229 is that much larger. I was hoping y'all would be willing to offer up opinions and arguments, for or against...
