    Bench suggestions?

Depending on how much you can spend, Sam's Club has a very heavy duty bench. I made mine from 4x4s for legs 2x4s for the frame, and plywood for the top. It's served me well for over 30 years. I've put several tops on it to make it look better. They tend to get too many holes drilled in it as...

Dillon 650 owners need some feedback.

I have a 650 and a 550. I have mine set up for 9mm and use the 550 to load everything else. Great setup for me. You might wan to take a second look at the 550. They're the work horse of the Dillons. They are much easier to straighten up when you mess up and you will.

Just got my hornady lock and load back from hornady

I had an old Projector press. It was flawed with a bad primer mechanism. If I used a Lee Auto Prime to do my primers on, the Hornady was OK. The problem is Hornady changes designs so radically that there is no way to upgrade. Dillon on the other hand has been making the same presses for...

    Primers in a freezer?

I've been using a freezer for over 30 years to store mine away from the house in an out building. I've never had any trouble with moisture.

    7mm Remington Magnum: Which one?

I'm a southpaw so I favor the Remington 700. I've had mine for about 20 years and it's a great rifle. I think the 700 is one of the most beautiful rifles out there. I've shot 1/2 inch groups with this rifle.

    Linotype?

I've got 900 lbs of straight lynotype that I havn't touched yet. I love to cast with it. I mix it 50/50 with WW metal. This mixture is close to hard cast. No I wouldn't sell any of it.

    .223 loads- wth?

Don't get discouraged. Some loads don't shoot very well, others do. Keep working at it. What your doing is collecting negative evidence. Thomas Edison first coined that phrase. He said negative evidence was important because it's like a road map. When something doesn't prove productive...

    Small Revolver for CCW

Take a real close look at the Glock 26 or 27. I have the 26 and love it. It's very small and will take the glock 17 clip for a backup clip to carry extra in your pocket. That's a lot of fire power.

    Why a Revolver?

I just like revolvers better to shoot at the range. I can hit an oil can consistantly with my Smith 629 at 50 yards. I sure can't do that with my 9mms. The 629 is the most accurate handgun I've ever shot. I like my autos for a CCW though. I like the firepower. I have a Glock 26 that will...

Arrrgh! Frustration!!!! Someone help me out here...

Don't go any further without taking the ammo apart and checking it with a good scale. You obviously have too hot of a load. Federal primers are a little hotter than others and that might be your problem if your loading maximum loads.

    Dillon Reloaders

I would get the 550. It's a great press and if you don't reload a carload full of ammo, it will more than fit your needs. I have the 550 and the 650. Actually, when you get the 650, the learning curve goes up somewhat. It's a great press if you do a lot of shooting. The one thing that...

Look at the vibrating tumblers from Harbor freight. Sometimes they offer it for $39.00 and I've look at them at the store.. they look first class not flumsey. Thicker walls, and look like its made heavy duty.. If you check the internet and can find it on sell anywhere, print the add off and...

    Lead Poisoning --Valuable Health Information

I had my blood tested for lead poisoning the other day I've been using lynotype and ww lead to pour bullets for years now. I've cast many thousands over the years. I'm a science teacher and I have known about the dangers of lead for some time. The other day I went in for my blood work, part...

    RCBS Automatic Bench Priming Tool?

I use it some and like it. I use it mainly for rifle when using my single stage press. I also very use the Lee Autoprime. For the money, it's the best one out there. Since going to Dillon progressive presses, I don't use them much now. RCBS and Sinclair have expensive copies of he Lee...
