    Scoped my RRA Middy..

The Rock River is easily good for less than 1 MOA. Factory guarentees it. At 50 yds all of your shots should be able to hit a .45 cal hole.

    Ramshot TAC and primers

I find Tac to be accurate at a wide range of loads and calibers. I load Tac in .223, 30-30, 7.5 Swiss, 7.62x54R, .303 British, and 8x57. I use small rifle primers in the .223 (CCI or Winchester) and Winchester or CCI large rifle primers in the others. No problems or complaints. Tac has...

    PPU 5.56 xm193

Privi brass loads fine. Privi bullets, at least 55 gr FMJ .224, load and shoot fine as well.

    Looking to get into reloading

Reloading 7.62x54R more likely to "screw up" a rifle than other rifle calibers. It is a lot harder to find brass. Most of the rifles that shoot 7.62x54R also need a .310 - .312 bullet instead of the more common .308. This means you have fewer choices for reloads and fewer choices for supply.

    223 Powder ?

TAC I have used H335, Varget, and Tac in my RRA Predator Pursuit. All work well, but Tac seems to be a bit more accurate, meters much better than the other two, and a bit cleaner. Tac also seems to shoot better with heavier bullets. For me its equivalent to H335 and Varget w/ 55gr, a little...

    IMR Trailboss

45 Colt I've loaded lead 200 gr RN w/ 6 gr Trailboss and it's pretty mild. I've loaded 7.1 gr w/ 225 lead truncated cone. This load charts about at the SAAMI limits. My Uberti SAA shot the load w/o problems. The Blackhawk laughs at this load.

What options for .45acp in a SAA style gun?

Since you say the Blackhawk is "reportedly 20% larger than an SAA", I gather you haven't handled either a Blackhawk or an SAA. I have both, a Blackhawk Convertible 45 Colt/45acp and a Uberti 1873 Cattleman. I don't find the Blackhawk to be that much larger and I definitely like the adjustable...

Single Actions and the "plowhandle" style grip

I agree that the Blackhawk shots as well one handed as two. Now try one handed with your off hand. You may be pleasantly surprised. The gun really does point about like your finger.

Grips for Ruger Blackhawk (Help/Advice Needed)

Try Wood You may find that the recoil is easier to manage when you let the gun roll naturally. Smmoth wood grips will allow this, rubber will prevent the roll and will end up fairly painful after ren rounds or so.

    7.62x54R .... Olympic?

I've had a large percentage (~40) of split necks from Olympic. Tried two boxes, quit using it. Also very inaccurate. Much better surplus available for similar price.

    Mosin Nagnat appeal

How about the history I love the guy that sold the Moisin because it was "incapable of being a decent weapon". The German army at Stalingrad probably disagree. The guns have a fair bit of history, the cartridge even more. It's the oldest military cartridge still in use. Also pretty...

.45 Colt muzzle velocity data from Marlin '94 (20") and Ruger Rehawk (4")

Lose the H110 As folks have said, if you're hot loading these rounds, you'll be better off w/ LilGun or 2400.

5.56 (brass only) ok for .223

Why so? I haven't noticed any particular difference between Federal, Rem, Win, etc in my RRA. For that matter, haven't noticed any particular difference in .45acp or 45 Colt for that matter. "I like Lake City for use in my AR's. Federal brass stinks."

    Ramshot TAC for .223

I have shot about 5 pounds of Tac in my RRA w/ small rifle powders. All consistent (<1 MOA), all no problems. Tac is pretty versatile. I use it for 7.5 Swiss, 7.62x54R, 30-30, and 8x57 as well as the .223.

DO you have any idea where yo will find a 500/1000 yard range?

    My scale sucks!

I have the RCBS 505 and can't figure out exactly what you think your problem is? How do you know you're measuring heavy or light? I run my scale the same way ( set the weight, then pour the powder) and my scale is always dead on to check weights of any size.

    Hornady LNL AP SUCKS!

That was funny. I have about 6k unfired small rifle primers that I'm using. The old phrase "buy cheap, stack deep" comes to mind. "i have about 10K once fired small pistol primes you can have at half price....."

Ask 'em. I've had very good response from them when asking questions about the bullets. There's a form on their website.

    Cleaning a 1911?

What a crock!:barf: "As someone else stated - There are gun owners and then there are gun shooters. A gun owner takes his weapon to the range (or other SAFE area) and shoots it, then puts it away until the next time. A gun shooter makes sure the gun is clean before taking it to the...

    Which Lever Gun in .30-30?

The Mossberg fit is better than the Winchester. Kind of a 94AE w/ better fit ( no rattly lever).
