    Glock 23 mag problem...

Storing fully loaded mags will NOT work the stored energy out of the metal springs, only repeated use (load, shoot, load again) will ease/wear-out the strength of the spring. Feel free to call Glock, they'll tell you the same thing. It's what I did when I got my G23. Sure enough, about a...

Glock to Smith M&P/ XD transition

tackleberry - if the 1911 works, why change? M&P is the "flavor of the month" , just like the XD was 3-4 years ago. Don't follow the hype, stick with what works (for you). fastbolt - you ought to be published, great work!

XD or M&P in 40 cal.

XD, cheap, easy to take care of and they've been around a little while longer. They have numerous aftermarket accessories and options. Plus, to me, the XD just feels better in my hand, ymmv. M&P still working out the bugs, but S&W are working hard to catch up. Looks like after years of...

    9mm barrel for a Glock 23

Use G19 mags with 9mm. I've even used my G17 mags in the G23 w/9mm bbl, just to see if it would work, did with no problems! Word of advice, mark your G19 mags so that you do not get them confused with your G23 mags. The G23's stock extractor and springs work perfectly with 9mm & 40, no need...

    Discontinuing the GLOCK 19 ?

***? G19 stopping production...I think not. Glocks product line up is stagnant and unchanged. They seem to neither introduce anything new or discontinue weak sellers (e.g. 45GAPs). They have a lineup of guns that they concentrate on improving, nothing more, nothing less. Interesting...

    Walther P22 Slide Failure W/Pics.....

Please do report back what they do for you (replace or whatever) and about how long it takes to complete, am interested to read how S&W handles this.

    Problems with my G17

I hope you don't think this is a common problem or judge all Glocks by this one experience by a gun that is probably 17+ years old. The guide rod may be original equipment, if so, 17+ years of service is pretty good for a piece of plastic that has withstood probably 1000s of little...

    G21 vs XD-45

Glock > xd XD, great guns, love 'em. Springfield lifetime warranty is excellent. XDs are great, just not all the way there yet. IMO, it's GLOCK all the way. Time tested, mature technology and parts availability. Will you ever need parts for either one? Probably not. But Glock parts...

    Eezox vs. Break Free

I stopped using StrikeHold on my guns awhile ago, now I use it to lube the garagedoor springs. I am surprised FP 10 didn't fair as well and equally surprised that Rem Oil worked so well, glad I use it! I still like BF but some Eezox is in my future! Thanks!

Looking at a Glock 34... good choice? Alternative?

I compete with my G34, love it. It's raised my game several points. Watch GSSFOnline for an announcement this week, they're going to be running their special price sale again.

    Bumper Sticker Slogans

Memorable slogans The following are not original, I've seen them somewhere, liked them enough to remember them... 75 million gun owners killed NO ONE yesterday 911: because when seconds count, the police are just 10 minutes away! Gun kontrol isn't the answer, gun kontrol is a...

Why is the gun culture still stuck in the 1960s?

The original post was.... and then went on a tear about how antiquated Shotgun News is....I dunno, they do have a website with contact info. So that's something not from the 60's. As far as the "gun culture being stuck in the 60's" - I think you can apply that to a large part of American...

Protection from Mountain Lions? Don't Even Mention "Gun"

I am no expert either (on anything) however, let's assume a scenario where you are face to face with a mountain lion. But first of all; never hike, climb, dive or camp alone. Common sense. A gun (BANG!) will scare off or kill (BANG! splat!) the cat at a distance, no contact necessary...

    Lubricant and Gun rust protectant

Wish I'd have known about Eezox before I bought that Sig, stupid thing :fire: Only piece I've ever owned that rusted while in my posession. Guess I shouldn't have used the little bottle of oil they included with the purchase. All my other guns (Glock, XD, S.A., KelTec) are cleaned and lubed...

    Airman shot by anti-war protester

Joe , as you are getting further and further off the reservation with each post I'll try to make this brief and use small words. Check the dateline of the story, here. You will be able to see that it is dated this year, 2007. No pardoy, just facts, it is the year 2007 in which the...
