This is an original gun from mid 19th century, smooth bore and no sights.
At 20 meters almost all balls have punched the paper.
Load is light due to the age :
40 grs BP, 100grs cormeal and ball 75 without patch (no room for it).
Recoil is not very regular due to poor ball quality...
Some of these pistols have been tested at the range, see :

This is another one also made by "PR" :
The pistol is from a pair and a number "1" is on the tang.

Hello,
this is an Italian replica manufactured in 1972 by "PR"
A lot of work was necessary to get it functional but now it shoots :
20 bullets shot at 25meters, duelist.
18 out of 20 are within the black zone.
Very uncommon pistol, fully engraved with rifled barrel.
regards
The pistol has gone to the range again but before the cock geometry has been modified because the angle was not correct and flints were perpendicular to the frizzen. I have heated the cocks and bent them downwards.
I have started shooting at 8meters and then 15 meters and finally at 25 meters...
There is one but it is very crude and I prefered to get rid of it, and have standard but smoothened trigger set

3 versions were proposed at the time :
-none engraving and brass furniture
- partially engraved with silvered furniture (the one of this topic)
- fully engraved and gold furniture
Maybe some arrived in the USA ...
This is a Belgian replica manufactured circa 1970, a few years before the closing of Belgian replica era.
Ironically it is copied from an Italian original pistol that was in Liege (Belgium) museum.
This Italian pistol was typical production of a town named "Firenze" (hence the name in...
