XD45 5 inch Tactical Range Report

XD Mags Yes, I too grabbed an XD as fast as I could. Wanted extra mags and ordered them from Springfield. Found out yesterday that they had finally arrived and are in the process of sending them out. Can't wait for the mail to get here. :D

    Thoughts on Para P10-45

Bought one a couple of years ago as the first ccw. As you said, grip extensions are necessary. I liked it but the grip is a little thick for my hand. Went on to a Kimber Ultra CDP II from there and just pick up more .45's as I go. Still carry it from time to time. the best is what works for you.

New Springfield XD-45 ACP: A Range Report.

Just picked up an XD-45 myself and am glad to hear others liked it. Has a different feel than the USP, not better of worse, just different. Like the price ($500) too.

[Question Mark]Mosquito or Mark III or P22

Probably Ruger or Buckmark I have a couple of Mark II's and the accuracy in great. I also have a P22 and it won't come close to the Rugers. I haven't had the chance at a Buckmark, but know those that have them rave about them. I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend, doesn't it...

    Need gun selection advise please.

Practice is the main thought DWS1117, It seems that you are wanting to practice and be able to carry the .45. Dienekes has the right idea in that a conversion kit, either by Ceiner, Marvel or whomever is the way to go. They cost around $200, can be converted in a few minutes, allow you to...

Poll: best full size .45 ACP service pistol

Duty Gun I vote for the USPf. I have a few 1911's, but as stated before, "Duty". The USP has low recoil, carries 10 rounds and is DA/SA. I understand from reading different sources, that LEO upper management loves the DA part, less liability for them.

    New P22, a few questions

P-22 Holster I carry mine in a Mil-Tech Soft Armour. Rather carry my Kimber Ultra CDP II or the HK USPc .45 for CHL(I have a thing about size,.22 vs .45). Uncle Mike's Super Slide is also a good option.

    good low priced .22?

In Search of the Fun .22 I, also would vote for the Ruger. Love mine, but it's way above the $200 limit (all decked out). Another thought is the Walther P-22, have one and is a fun little gun.

    How about the Champion Safes?

Another brand to Consider I purchased a safe from Sturdy Safe in Fresno, Ca. About a month ago. Ceramic lined to withstand 2300 degrees F., extra hardplate, gold plated hardwear, standard interior. the size is 60x38x27. Cost about $1650, with shipping. Why I chose it was the 8 gauge steel its...
