Help this imbecile find a thread please...

There was a great thread that itemized all the 30-40 ways to make a superior AR-15/M-16 system and I've used search and cannot find it...needed to bookmark it, but didn't, so... Can someone point that thread to me? OP

    Remington Arms Has Been Sold...

Just wait till you see their new product lines.:) Cerberus owns Bushmaster, too, FYI. I think you folks will see a new direction and some clever new stuff, some old ides refreshed and some new ideas that will vault them and their sister (BRI) right to the top of several categories of small...

.300 WSM questions on recoil, accuracy.

Anybody with experience on this cartridge? I need to know if you have a rifle with a muzzle brake on it (like a Savage?) in this caliber and what the effect on felt recoil and accuarcy might be. Also: what is the best loading for accuracy you've had? OP

Market for iron sited bolt guns/quasi-military design?

The sites wil be much lower... that is a photoshopped weapon, bud, I believe, just for demonstration purposes. I'll post a picture of a working prototype once the suits allow me to spend $$ and take machinists off-line from other prods. OP

Market for iron sited bolt guns/quasi-military design?

That's it, MinScout... That's hot hooey right there...pretty much does it all. Wow. OP

    Rem 721 plastic stocks?

Looking for a replacement for my hacked-prior-to-me 721 stock in .30-06. Was looking for a replacement one in plastic or glass... OP

Market for iron sited bolt guns/quasi-military design?

Hmmm...so here's what I'll try first. I'm going to float this to the corporate types - 1. Getting away from Mauser action saves approximately $70 to $100 in machinery costs. Doing away with a stripper clip guides and going strictly magazines saves another $20 in machine costs. The rail...

Market for iron sited bolt guns/quasi-military design?

Thats nuts... ...but has classic lines, and obvious utility. The right path is often obscured to only The Chosen Ones, and truly you have had your Totem dream to create such a machine. I need one... OP

Market for iron sited bolt guns/quasi-military design?

Good input... I'd have to agree...the price has to be under $400 to make it remotely competitive with all the milsurp...and be sub 2 MOA or why bother? I'll be back on this... OP

Market for iron sited bolt guns/quasi-military design?

Another poster raised this issue, and I'm just doing some basic research here - would this configuration of bolt gun would have a cross-sectional appeal to shooters here in the USA? We have HR-1022 looming, and some guys might want an effective bolt action in a sort of military...

    The 336 Club

Love my 336... Bought it a month ago, off the bench at 100 yards puts Winchester 170 grains into the 10 ring all day long... I bought it for deer season in brush, and put tru-glo sites on it and had to give up the hood over the front site, may have a gunsmith rig a much broader hood up front...

    Down and dirty M-91/30 mods...

No offense taken. I realize that the M91 isn't anyone's preferred weapon of choice, but if someone is new to shooting and wants accurate and cheap and to get a taste of a little confidence building erzatz gunsmithing, there's nothing better.

what specs for a "peoples AR"

A people's AR-15 series for mass. prod...IMHO Interesting question...my take: 1. The older GI skinny barrels in 1 in 12 twist had the most devestating terminal ballistics of any of the AR-15 series when using traditional mil-spec 55 grain M-193 loads. Just take a look at the numerous...

    Down and dirty M-91/30 mods...

In a previous thread, I touched on my homebrew accurizing a little. I'll put out the following as final mods that take your ubiquitous M-91/30 and make it a little better for hunting or war making/self-defense/occasional zombie horde invasions. Of course, you need to begin with a gun with some...

    mosin naget 91

Ah so, I like my MNs but... ...my Irish Number 4 Mk2 with Privi Partizan 174 grain FMJ is untouchable by even my Garand, FAL, or 20 inch AR. Only thing better is my AR-10T with Loopy 10X M3. OP

    mosin naget 91

Quickie Mosin Nagant accurizing... I've got an M39 (Sako), an M44, and two M-91/30s. Both M-91/30s were good accuracy out of the box. Of course, I had to screw around with them and: 1. Lightened the triggers by removing a little bit of metal with a round file just aft of the trigger spring...
