My local cabelas has quite a few police trade in USP's right now around the 500 mark, all 40's and DAO. That said, I bought a 226. I have larger hands and the USP has never been all that comfy to me, which makes me wonder why an ex girlfriend years ago who was all of 4'11" with tiny hands wanted...
Thank you sir, the grips do have medallions and as far as I know they are original, it belonged to a friend's dad, she ended up with it when he passed a few years ago.
rb288, have you considered adopting? :D
I handled one at a local store and it felt like a solid platform, I wouldn't mind owning one but I want a new bird gun before anything else right now.
'75 870 wingmaster or the cheapest gun I've ever bought, a western auto 20 (mossberg 500). I'd like a "new" shotgun, have to see what the budget will allow..
Build what you want, that way you get the parts you want. I haven't noticed a shortage of lowers at all, the only thing I have noticed is parts kits selling quickly but its not like you can't get your hands on one period. It isn't the cheapest route but It's your rifle.
Sorry for your luck, I'd also look hard at the mag(s), tear them down and put them back together, I've only had two issues with semiautos and both were magazine issues.
My only one is a P32, I'd really like to find a decent 1903 and a savage, I passed a table at one of the local shows that was nothing but savages, didn't have the money at the time which sucks because they were pretty fairly priced.. Seems like every colt I see they want an arm and a leg for too.
We aren't talking throwing it in a kiln, look at pistols with mounted lights, 99.9% of them place the end of the light past the muzzle.. I have a tlr1s that i switch between my glock 21 and the AR, its a great light for the money.
I was able to fit more junk in my '89 GT with a cage than my current '04 elantra will even think about handling. Just the oposit for my '02 trans am, I'll have to build an SBR to fit anything in the "trunk".
Took the AR and 1903 out, buddy took his AK and 10/22. My local outdoor range was pretty dead, it was nice. We had a family next to us plinking with .22's and a 30 carbine. Saw two other AR's the whole 4? hours we hung out. Got a few comments on the '03 and one of the younger (probably 12?) kids...
I dig my 1903, receiver is a 1929 Springfield, its been through the arsenal, its got a high standard barrel from '44 and i picked it up for 400 bux. :) From cabelas no less...
K31's are awesome guns, I really enjoyed mine. Ammo was the only drawback for me but my local cabelas stocks hornady and wolf in 7.5 so it wasn't a huge hassle.
