Do you use night sights/laser for your primary CCW?

my Taurus 651 is a 5 shot .357 with CT grips. I would use my taurus 617 with 7 shots of .357 but I can't get over the fact that it doesn't have laser grips for them. Glock 27 with night sites and the laser trigger guard. I'm not sure if the laser will ever be used at defensive shooting...

AD from a smart carry type holster

Glad your ok. I guess another reason that i've gotten into the habit of sewing plastic pieces on inside of my original smart carry units to cover front and back trigger area. I've also been using my revolver most of the time because it's so darn comfortable to carry, it's a .357 and has the CT...

    favorite ALL AROUND handgun poll

glock 27. Not to big, not to small. Fits in smartcarry and I can wear it all day and almost forget I'm packin'. I've got a .357 which disappears, but it's only a 5 shot and a .45 acp xd45 service model, but the glock 27 is my compromise.

    Revolver or Auto

No one has ever gone wrong with a revolver. You can always upgrade later. I've carried a revolver over 60% of the time and I love it. It's more comfortable, easier to operate and it will last for generations. Nothing wrong with autos but I find myself carring .357 most days and then glock 27 in...

Gun control: do it for the children

very good points. I wasn't sure if they kept shifting back to criminal gun ownership or accidental gun shootings involving children. End our culture of violence? Pretty words, but again, are we talking about kids being criminals or adult criminals? I'm confused. “The District’s...

    Advice for gun shows?

travel light, travel fast. First in the door the first day and scan tables fast. If your on a mission hunt the tables quick. You can tell the shotgun vs handgun tables pretty quick. I've found 2 or 3 of a type of gun pretty quick and picked up some great bargains. Then the other side of the...

    Is the 357 fading away?

some day we wheelies may be down into the 20% range of gun owners, but I still come back to my .357 for comfort in carry (rounded stock) and if I don't get them with 5 or 7 shots I might have trouble getting them with 10 .40 caliber or 14 .45acp's. I just love revolvers and I think there...

    .40 S&W power

I can't tell any difference between .40 and 9mm. Slightly sharper, but not like a .45 acp and 12Guage :). Wife handled it well and shoots .38 and 9mm but hates .45 acp and wont even touch the 12g.

    ~Pictures of your Ammo Stockpile~

Wow.....at least i've got some photos to show my wife IF she ever says "your getting paranoid." Mind you, never to much ammo, but I thought my having 400 rounds .22 , 200 9mm, 100 38 special, 100 .357, 300 .40, 300 .45acp, 100 12 guage and 100 20 guage. I'm prepared for a katrina hold out...

    help me pick a snub

taurus i've found smaller, less expensive and I have not had a problem with them. I like the idea of owning a S&W, but i've never seen one in the right size that looked like it was worth the extra cost when I bought my 3 wheel guns. Same sense I bought the xd 45 service model over the...

    Just a Fun Poll:

"Noisey Cricket" for my small Taurus 651 .357 snubby. "Karens gun" for my wifes. No other names yet. wife used to ask "Honey, did you bring the grocery list?" If we where out in public and she felt uncomfortable in a situation. (I NEVER grocery shop). It was our code word for ARE YOU...

bio security to make it NOT operate would interest me, but not to track it for theft reasons.

    I was disarmed today

another reason I'm into deep concealment, not just casual cover. Not beating a dead horse, but the best way to handle this situation is to make sure no one sees your gun. No offense, just the easy way to handle it. Find a method that works and works 100% of the time to conceal it.

Welcome Golan. Sorry to hear. I though one of the reasons We support Israel so closely is because of your democracy. But, I'm guessing socialism is still a far cry better then your neighbors political set up. Unfortunately, we are heading down the road to socialism. Just look at our rights and...

ACLU Versus the Second Amendment:Change the Wording
