I bought a $100 OTF that, at the time, I didn't know was a knock off of the Microtech scarab. It worked pretty good, decent spring but the metal was rather cheap and hard to sharpen. All it ended up being good for was pushing the button for the cool factor. IMO if you are going to get an OTF...

need to make sure to get 9mm Tok mags, get the wide ones, that way if you get tired of the 9mm you can take the spacer out and use them again for 7.62x25 and then change the barrel out. I had a 9mm tok for awhile and enjoyed, though, true enough the ammo is more expensive

I voted yes for all the reasons stated about. No need repeating it. I've carried a compact XD9 for awhile now and I really enjoy it.

While waiting on my CCW paperwork to clear, I carry my XD9 in my truck at all times. When I'm home, I bring it in with me. Once I get my license, well, it'll go wherever I go.

I had a chinese Tok that I recently sold to a friend. It was chambered in 9mm, however, but I bought wide mags just in case I ever wanted to switch the barrels out and use 7.62x25. Well, I've become the proud owner of an XD 9 in all black, and I'm loving it. Mine's 4" which I got specifically for cc. I know the sub-compact is supposed to be better but I like the extra accuracy with the 4". It carries nicely and fits very smoothly in my hand, so, I think if you love the XDM...

Depends, I suppose on what you use it for. But, for standard "sharpness" I'm fine with mine slicing paper without too much drag. If I plan on showing it off at all, I get it to shave but don't have too much practical use, myself, for a knife that sharp.:rolleyes:
