    Classic Hand Guns

So today I bought a Browning BDA 380 to use for concealed carry, and this caused me to start thinking about some other classic timeless hand gun designs. Not to start a war, but here are a few design's that I feel to be timeless. Please add to the list as I am positive I have left out a lot...

    new old Rifle

So i was wandering around one of my favorite local gun stores and found this. It is a 1903 Springfield Mark I. I bought the rifle and after some research i found that the Mark I was intended for use with the Pedersen device. That is what the cutout i the left side of the receiver is for. With...

    Trio of K31

nice. even at current prices the K31 is worth it in my opinon. I love my k31, and am always on the lookout for another.

    SKS or a Mosin

it deepends a lot on what you intend to do with it. an SKS is loads and loads of fun to shot. The mosin is comfterable to shoot (the 91/30) and spirited in the carbines. but the plus side of the mosin is you can hunt just about anything in the lower 48 with it if you choose to. 7.62x54r is...

    Which rifle to get?

if ammo price is a big factor (like it usually is) i woud rule out the M1A as cool as it is. I have been looking at AK-74's as of late, and the biggest pluses are that it is a AK (i love my AR too) and the ammo is really cheap. Krebs makes one, as does Lancaster, and they are at least worth a look.

    old revolver question

thanks for the responses. I think i will look for a good Asrta or a star in 9mm largo to go with my destroyer, that seems like a much safer bet.

    old revolver question

I am on a Spanish kick right now with my collecting, having just bought a old Destroyer carbine. I found this and wanted to know if it is a descent deal. Is 32 Long CTG the same as 32 Smith and Wesson long? Also if it is a 32 S&W long is it safe to shoot 32 S&W short is this revolver? I was...

    Wow! SKS prices are crazy!

I have 2 SKS's the Russian one i paid $300 for with 500 rounds of ammo from a coworker 2 years ago, and my Yugo i paid $150 for. The prices now are out of this world. The sks is a good rifle, but much past the $300 range there are better options out there.

    Gun safe vs cabinet

hands down get the safe. though very few "gun safes" are actual safes, most are "residential security containers" a big difference. that said a safe will offer you more protection in all areas than a cabinet. plus you will have the confidence that it is harder for bad guys to get to your guns.

I own an AR... I dont really like it.

AR's are amazingly modular. that said, i don't paralytically like mine either, other than they are fun to shoot, and i carried one in the army. If you don't like your AR sell it and get something you do. plus you can most likely make $$$ on it right now.

    Owning foreign war guns...

this is a semantic post. buy what you like. i don't see people buying Cadilliac's instead of BMW's or Mercedes because BMW and Mercedes built aircraft engines in WW2. unlike the American car industry, the American gun industry builds products that people actually want, and dream about owning. i...

    Best (not cheapest) 45?

i have a Springfield TRP i would not trade for anything, but that said. you need to go shoot some and choose the best .45 for you all the ones that have been recomended are good guns. the Glock is the only striker fired pistol i woud own, or recomend to people, just my opinon.

How do you guys feel about Olympic Arms ARs?

i have a oly, and it will eat anything (ammo wise) and always goes bang when i pull the trigger, somwthing i can't say about my bushmaster. would buy another without a second thought.

    7.5 French

the mas-36 is a good mil-surplus rifle. uglier than sin, and a good shooter. The biggest down side is ammo avaliability. as far as i know the only company that makes factory ammo is Prvi Partizan. Surplus ammo is rare but can be found occasionally. If the rifle is under $200 i would say go for...
