In the attic of an upper flat we rented while first married. Got tired of listening to one particular squirrel between the walls all night long so.....
it was dispatched with great prejudice.
In lieu of my annual posting of "A Cartridge in a Bare Tree", I offer these holiday greetings to all those tactical loving gun nut friends and family here on The High Road. (See what happens when you have too much time on your hands? ;) )
So what gun goodies is Santa bringing you?
MrMurphy's pretty close to what I'd do. If I had to put a scope on it, I'd look for a low power variable, something in the 1.5x4 or 1.5x4.5 range on it for a little bit more latitude.
I have a Marlin in 357 and love the rifle. I interchange ammo with my Dan Wesson or my mom's Ruger. It really is my favorite shooter. 200 yards would be asking a bit much of it though, even with some of my hotter handloads.
However, given your criteria, the 7600 would be my choice. I didn't...
Why, I remember once during the Groundhog Offensive back in '88. Them damn critters had surrounded us and almost effectively cut us off from our utilities and were making a big push for the house's foundation. I could only think of the stories I'd heard about the Battle of the Bulge during WWII...
Well I managed to slog through the rain and get my son there too but didn't see many folks out there at all. If anyone from this site was there, I'm sorry we didn't meet. It turned into a father/son day.
Weather was raining a bit even when we left the house but I knew that we would be under a...
Sounds like a grand idea.
Seems like we may have some more inductees for the Detroit Area Chapter of the Terre Haute Torque & Recoil Society. :D
Bring your mountain bikes and a model rocket or two. And who's gonna bring the food for the BBQ afterwards? :p
You'll love that gun, it's a sweetheart to shoot.
The only mod I made to the sights was to file the back-cut part of the ramp off, touch up the sight with some orange paint, change the elevation of the rear sight slightly and it was good to go.
WildAlaska, if you tie 26 yards of string around the back of the bullet and the other end to the edge of the bench, the bullet won't hit the backstop and deform, which makes it easier to reload without having to whittle it back to round again with your pocketknife. You'll also save on the soles...
I know this is a repeat, but so is "It's a Wonderful Life" yet the sentiment never goes away.
My 12 Days of Christmas
On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
12 - Sabot Slugs
11 - Cans of Blue Dot
10 - Power Scope
9 - Millimeters
8 - Broadhead Arrows
7 - Pounds of...
Even scarier. Last hunting season, we were using our pop-up as deer camp at a state park in mid-Michigan. The 2nd day of the season, the guy from a couple sites over came by and asked if we'd found his pistol. Seems he dropped some sort of stainless 44 out of his pack getting in or...
Well, I've had experience with both. I currently own a Mk II with the 5.5" bull barrel and I used to have a Single Six with the 6.5" barrel. Like an idiot, I sold it in a moment of weakness. :banghead: It's the first and only gun I ever sold and I don't ever want to do that again.
The SS...
Well, good to see you weren't more seriously injured. Seems like it could have hurt a lot worse than it did. This is partly why I run a very tight B/C gap on my Dan Wesson.
Ah, the typical AIS (Alcohol Induced Syndrome). I've proven my theory many times over. At one point, someone who's had a...
OK, this sounds right, but for some odd reason I was thinking the gun was chambered in 22 Hornet. Maybe it wasn't this Ruger. I know Taurus offers a revolver chambered in 22 Hornet, but didn't some other revolver come in 22 Hornet at one time?
Brain fade - oddball Ruger question
OK, it's either old-timers or a general brain fade, but I disremember (unless it's a figment of my imagination)
At one time, I think it was Ruger that offered a Blackhawk-type frame with a more-or-less single shot cylinder that shot something...
