Well, if they get to that point then my Carbine in 7.62x39 will have to go. I'll probably keep my .223 Carbine though.
One of the local shops here is a CZ direct dealer and said the 527s were the best selling CZs that they sold. He said he probably will not be selling as many CZs now.
All that I read on the box was "Small Rifle Primers", but I didn't pick them up and look any closer. It didn't really matter to me anyway as I'm out of the shooting hobby unless things change. If they don't change then maybe I'll try and learn how to play the guitar. I have a Strat setting...
Well, that's assuming that you ONLY have a carry gun and never want to go to the range. I was going to the range every week shooting different handguns and long guns and that had to end.
They were "Small Rifle", nothing special about them.
Sure they are. I don't HAVE to go to the range and shoot, but I enjoy it. I don't get to do it anymore because of the cost but I guess I'll get over it. Gas and food prices are different. People have to drive to get to work and other places...
I certainly don't blame reloaders. My point is that the "transitory inflation" rhetoric they were spewing is nonsense. I believe we are in the middle of a really bad inflation scenario that for the most part will not reverse. I would love to be wrong because it has really put the hurt on me.
Really? A 100% increase at the retail level is not the same as a some knucklehead at the gun show taking advantage of a bad situation. And, it's Bass Pro. They're not making their big money on their little ammo/reloading section. Nope, this is something different. Nothing is going back to...
I am noticing a bad trend. I stop in at Bass Pro a couple of times a week to look and see what they have in the used firearms area and then I walk by the ammo section. Tonight I walked by their ammo/reloading section and noticed CCI small rifle primers...$129.99 per 1,000. Two months ago they...
Not so much "too busy" as "too poor". Now that inflation has become supercharged I'm just trying to keep up with the things I have to pay. Poor job choices have come back to bite me in the behind now that I'm in my 60's. A while back I cleaned and put up all of my firearms except what I carry.
Don't get me wrong, I don't blame anyone for selling them for $1,200 if they can get that. That's Capitalism and I'm a fan. I just thought it strange that people will pay the premium when they can get the real deal for around the same money if they look atound.
It's all but killed the sport for me. Unlike most, it seems, I don't have endless sums of cash to throw at any hobby. I walked through Bass Pro today and noticed they raised the price of CCI Quiet .22lr 17% since last week. It just isn't that much fun for me anymore since there are too many...
I must admit it's nothing near as exciting as "What Color For My Next AR...ODG or FDE?"
I guess I am just amazed that people are paying that much of a premium for a clone firearm when the real deal can be had for the same money or sometimes less. Now if someone did an HK P7M8 clone that had an...
I guess the SA-35 has 15 round mags instead of 13, but will still take Browning mags, no magazine disconnect and a more pronounced safety. He did say the new SA offering was pretty nice. At least if you decide to overpay, you get a nice firearm.
