I use this stuff it works great. I line them in a ziplock bag with the necks facing away from me. I line them up and usually fit 80 or so 308 cases in the gallon size bag, I put the bag on a piece of cardboard. Then I shake the can really good and spray the cases, then I roll them back and forth...
well that fixed it adjusted the sizing die and loaded 20 rounds they all chamber perfect.Thank you so much for everyones help.
Now what do I do with the 60 or so cases I already primed and the 80 rounds I loaded will it be OK to load them and fire them?
Yes I have to get one of these I been...
I already trimmed a bunch of brass that I aready sized. Should I run them though the full length sizing die again? and if I do will I have to trim again?
I have been loading 308's and some of the rounds are chambering kind of tight. It pushes in the chamber no problem but, some not all, are kind of tight locking the bolt down. I notice it more on my second reloads more than the first reloads. I'm trimming them to 2.005 and seating the bullets to...
1858 you were right
What a difference...I just got my 3 way cutter from Midway today. It did take a few minutes to set it up but WOW it really speeds things up. just about 15 seconds maybe a little less for each case and no more deburring after each case. It's also very consistent trimming to...
I'm getting .5 moa at 100 yards with 42.5 grains IMR 4064 with fed brass, fed match primers and a 168 grain Sierra HPBT. My rifle is a Kimber 8400 advanced tactical.
WOW I guess I should get the three-way cutters for mine because I just got mine also and it takes about 30 seconds for each case plus I have to debur....but your right it's very consistent. Now that I think about it I was doing 308 brass, maybe that's why it took longer.
Ok I had thought I made up my mind and ordered a FN spr a1 with a 20" barrel in .308 two an a half weeks ago. My dealer has been trying to get one for me. Now here's the problem I went to another local gun shop today and held a Kimber 8400 advanced tactical WOW!! I feel in love. I guess maybe...
The way I look at if I had a good friend that asked me not to carry at his house this would have been my next question WHY?....Why wasn't this question asked? How good a friend is it? I say a real good friend that I talked to about this and still asked me not to carry in his home I would leave...
Thanks for the spelling check:o I fixed it for you.....happy
I didn't say I would do this just giving the OP ideas, he did say he was thinking about doing this anyway. If you conceal from the get go nobody would ever would know. That's why concealing is better IMO
Forget it some people are to thick headed.... man I do understand. I'm just saying another way for the OP to deal with the situation is to CCL, then he's happy and feels safe, and the friend is happy because he doesn't see the gun. I's obvious that the OP friends feel uncomfortable around guns...
You missed the point you are respecting him...he doesn't know you have one on because he doesn't see it. Why is it not high road you are respecting his wishes you are not open carrying, so it doesn't scare him or family.
You should get your CCL...if he doen't know it won't hurt him. I mean maybe it's the look the scares his wife, if she doesn't she it no harm done. There's a reason people carry concealed, and/or some states only allow you to carry concealed because people get scared, most people have a view that...
I have narrowed it down to a couple of scopes
Leoupold mark 4 6.5x20 $1000 brand new from a dealer
Nightforce NSX 5.5x22 $1600
is the Nightforce $600 better? Unfortantely I can't find a NF dealer that stocks them in my area so I can't compare.
This scope is going on a FN SPR 308...
I liked the Leoupold on my AR...I'm just using it for now so I could save up some funds for a new one. The FN comes with a rail and my Leoupold has ARMS throw levers so it will be easy to throw it on for now.
I've looked at these they are really nice but real expensive. My limit is around...
Is there a proper break-in for this rifle...from what I read breaking in a gun is not needed. It does have a chromed lined barrel. I have always bought all my rifles used so I never had to do this.
Also for you nonreloaders what ammo do you use? I bought some 308 Federal Gold Medal Sierra...
You hit the nail on the head there...plus they know nothing about guns or ammo one day I went there to buy .22's and some .45's when I went to ring out the employee asked me if the .22's were for a rifle or handgun so I said both...the employee looked at me like I said something in chinese. I...
