Schönberger-Laumann semi-Auto pistol of 1892 was chambered for a 7.8 mm cartridge which was similar to a Bergman cartridge.
Then the 8×22mm Bergmann came along in 1896 or 1897...
And what about the Mars pistol cartrudges of the late 1890s.... All predating the 9mm Luger development.
8.5mm...
Yours still has the original 1894 type stock Many were converted in 1914 to the 94/14 style with the big bayonet lug on the stock. Mine has a 94/14 stock and has been heavily sanded in the past. I would have jumped on yours just for the stock.
What does your stock disc say???
I like a hunting rifle to be extremely accurate. This helps making up for heavy breathing and a strong pulse rate while slogging about in the bush. A half MOA rifle, plus my 2.0 MOA heart attack only add up to 2.5 moa. But if I started with a bad rifle, Lord only knows where the shot...
Over 30 days of everyday wear so far and no problems. I have been climbing up onto my float-plane's wings for fueling with jerry-jugs, wearing hip waders while in hip-deep water and jumping between my truck and flying my plane with no problems. The rig still looks new and the retention is...
Try wrapping yourself with a big ACE bandage under your shirt for a couple days and see how hot you get. That will tell you how a belly band will work out. If it does not bother you, go for it....
I like how the gun snaps into the holster with some retention. It is a fairly fast draw. Although re-holstering is not all that easy.
I have not yet tried tucking my shirt around it.
Back in 1983 I bought two in 357 mag from the Alaska Commercial Store in Fort Yukon. They were great. Very accurate and killed a few Caribou. Mis-marked at $115 a piece.
In the 1980s I bought a Puma Medallion version in 44 mag which was pretty rough.
Then I bought a half round / half...
Be careful about what you shove towards your spine while trying to hide it. I cannot find the photo right now... ( I had it from the law suit ) but at one time I had so much gear on my belt that my cuffs were right over my spine. My short ASP baton was right next to them.
One day I was...
When I was plain clothes for 11 years, I wish we would have had some of these new fangled holsters. I tried a couple of the old suede IWB things with the metal clips. They were not so swell. Half the time my friggin gun would be coming half way out while I was sitting at a cafe. Well there...
When I was a street cop we pretty much were required to carry when off duty, if at all possible. So I had a set of lightweight alloy cuffs in a butt pocket or under my spare magazines if I was wearing a shoulder holster. Later when I was plain clothes I carried my cuffs on duty and zip ties...
My Stealth Gear holster arrived and I really like it for my Walther PPS. It was not cheap, but it sure is a dream to wear.
I tried making a photo thread but the pics are not posting.
By the time I figure out which load is:
1.Reliable
2.Shoots OK groups
3.AND shoots where the sights are pointing ( fixed sights)
I usually have about 400-500 rounds fire through a pistol.
In my last dept, we had an initial auto qualification course that burned up about 900 to 1,200 rounds...
My new Stealthgear mini Ventcore IWB holster showed up on May 1st. I shoved my Walther PPS-M2 into it and have been wearing it for about 10-12 hours a day over the past 5 days.
So far I am impressed with how comfortable the darn thing is to wear. I am in and out of my aircraft or my pick-up...
I have a tuckable IWB holster on order for my Walther PPSM2. But now that I have paid for it..... it certainly seems to be taking a long time to get it...
So I might as well buy something for my HiPower. I like a good high rise pancake style thumbbreak for the P-35 but an IWB would be OK...
