I have two leather holsters - two Galco and one Mitch Rosen. Also have a Mitch Rosen belt.
I wouldn't wear anything other than leather. Once its broken in and fits properly, there's nothing like it.
quick question here...
do the laws in your state allow for the defensive shooting to protect another person (not yourself, or immediate family)?
If you're not the one at risk, how could you use the 'self defense' claim to justify the use of force?
yes but remember this is Edmonton, Alberta. I lived in Edmonton for a year and found it to be the most xenophobic community I've ever had the mispleasure of living in.
If you aren'ty a native born Edmontonian, the locals treat you like scum or worse. They wouldn't lift a finger to help you...
I've had an opportunity to try several law enforcement and military scenarios in an interactive program called LaserShot.
Uses a real but modified pistol or rifle and the content of the scenario can be randomly modified so you can't 'game' the scenario from session to session.
Worth about...
I paid cash for my guns. I would accept nothing less than cash from the feds.
If they can't pay cash, then the guns get burried somewhere along with all my ammo.
However I have nothing to worry about unless they repeal the Bill of Rights.
Hi James
Welcome to THR
A few comments for you - take them for what they're worth.
A fear of a gun is more likely a fear of the unknown - a loud noise, a bigh flash and a tremendous recoil. Thanks to Hollywood, most all of them are wrong.
Take Dirty Harry for example. He shoots a bad...
Several groups are at fault here, and I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the school administration.
How blind do those overpaid babysitters have to be not to see the problems going on around them?
Oh wait, its not in their contract. They don't have to care because its not in...
the police now use the term 'shoot to stop' rather than 'shoot to kill' so it would make sense to adopt the same.
Now, when you have to shoot, you're not going to shoot any differently, right? You're going to shoot like you train.
The verbalization is merely semantics.
I believe that...
however what would the statistics be if you eliminated drug related deaths (ie died while using a gun to buy, sell or whjatever drugs).
I'm willing to bet the stats would be much lower.
Also I'm willing to bet that those stats also include gang related deaths whose primary weapon of...
I've fired several thousand rounds of 9mm, 45 and 223 from S&B and have never had bad luck with them. I purchsed some Remmington 22LR and had a 50% failure to fire.
in my opinion the reason why ATF regulates silencers is not because they're inherently dangerous. They're a revenue stream.
If youw ere to de-classify them, the money goes away and some poor AFT weenie would likely be out of work. He has my deepest sympathies.
Personally I think the ATF is...
I agree to a certain extent that pricing pressure would tend to force prices down. However if the ban goes away, the supply won't change. The demand might change.
With increasing demand for the limited supply, the prices may stay artificially high.
I'm not sure any store owner would start...
Even if (or when) the ban sunsets, don't expect prices to fall.
The price simply reflects what the market will pay. The price of a subgun will still be 8-10K simply because thats what they will continue to ask, and thats what they will get.
The ban has nothing to do with the price.
